That rather answers your own question.
There are thousands of expat Poms living in Europe. Do you think that the UK can exit the EU, and they will be allowed to keep their residency?
I don't give a toss.
I give even less of a toss that you don't give a toss.

The old and decrepit Poms that will now have to live on Soggy Island, rather than Sunny Spain probably do give a toss.

No. Hard work by individuals, even collectively, does not imply glittering success of the nation they come from.

Not if the country is a backward, poorly educated country.
But Poland's in the EU, and the kids are well-educated. If they were such hard workers, the big multi-nationals would be queuing up to put their plants there.

The truth is that, at home, on Polish wages, they're just as fucking idle as the rest of the world. Put them in a country where the wages are much higher, and they graft to make the most of it. Just like the Brits did in Germany, forty years ago, and still do, in Saudi and the like.
You're away from home, you don't speak the language, there's fuck-all to do, but the money's great, so you might as well clock up as many hours as you can.

"Poland has achieved a "very high" ranking on the Human Development Index, as well as gradually improving economic freedom. Poland is a democratic country with an advanced high-income economy, a high quality of life and a very high standard of living. Moreover, the country is visited by nearly 16 million tourists every year (2013), which makes it one of the most visited countries in the world. Poland is the sixth largest economy in the European Union and among the fastest rising economic states in the world. The country is the sole member nation of the European Union to have escaped a decline in GDP and in recent years was able to "create probably the most varied GDP growth in its history" according to OANDA, a Canadian-based foreign exchange company. Furthermore, according to the Global Peace Index for 2014, Poland is one of the safest countries in the world to live in." Link

Be grateful. The effect of Poles coming to the UK does not merely increase the average IQ of Poland. It also increases that of your nation.

But are you in favour of withdrawal?
Rationalia relies on voluntary donations. There is no obligation of course, but if you value this place and want to see it continue please consider making a small donation towards the forum's running costs.
Details on how to do that can be found here.

Funny enough I agree with Hermit on this as not everyone is cut out to be a innovative/creative brainiac. If there is a willing and hard working workforce and they are not being utilized, well capitalism has to hold its hand up in some respect. I know we in the West and are infected with self loathing lefty/liberal fuckwits especially in academia but if we provide enough industrial/technical ideas then the workforce is there. On the other hand why should anyone bother when they are going to be taxed to buggery by all the special snowflakes and participation awards for fucking losers.

Cheap shot as the general IQ of Poland is lesser than the UK. Also anybody poo pooing the idea of IQ tests, well they mainly concentrate on the STEM fields which is a good indicator of how intelligent a country is. Show me a better method that achieves the same goal.

Define "intelligence". The UK appears to be one of the most stupid countries getting around at the moment based on the extremists they've voted in twice now.
