In comparing Islam and Christianity as they are practiced today, it does remain true that you are more likely to find violence in the name of Islam than violence in the name of Christianity. My contention, of course, is that this doesn't represent a fundamental difference in the essence of the two (although conceding there are probably more potential exhortations to kill the unbeliever in the Koran than the Bible). Rather, it represents christianity having its teeth pulled by the trend to secular authority in the West over the centuries. Popes no longer have armies...
