The Obama administration, upon learning about this piece of news, has apologized. What else do you want? Do you think we Americans ought to be ashamed of this? I'm not in the least. Sure, it's a shameful thing, but I don't feel obliged to feel guilty about something a handful of people in my grandfather's generation were secretly involved with.

I'm all for discussing current events, but I think we all know Sandinista had another agenda in posting the OP. It's not to discuss the news, but to use a piece of 70-year old history as a means of generalized America-bashing. His initial comments suggest nothing else. So yes, I'm hateful towards him. He deserves nothing more than ridicule, and he doesn't seem to ever get it through his thick head that his perpetually angry posts are not the sort of thing upon which this forum is founded.

It's not as simple as that. He has (at least at times) brought up news issues worthy of discussion. IMO, he does not help the discussion process by his automatic and stubborn anti-American stance, but that does not change the worth of the issues themselves, or give others the right to deliver personal attacks (naturally, his stance on the issues is fair game for trenchant criticism)

And I take it you are the great decider as to what is trolling and what is not. I see two trolls around these parts and frankly I'm not one of them. @Pappa, thanks for your concern, at least someone here can see the tripe I have to deal with on every post I make. Its very obvious what is going on, a couple gung ho americans are trying to get me to either quit posting or to retaliate to the point of bening banned. Can't see either happening really.

I'm not American, I have no nationalistic pride, I certainly am not a fan of the corporate culture, nor have I a great love for their foreign policy.
But what you present and the routes you take are far worse. You see the suffering of others and take pride and relish in it, you see it as an opportunity to point fingers and go "See, see! Look how evil America is!"
