But Alabama's two Republican U.S. Senators condemned the decision stating an assessment by the U.S. Air Force had ranked Huntsville first among possible headquarters sites.

Sen. Katie Britt said that Biden "has irresponsibly decided to yank a military decision out of the Air Force's hands in the name of partisan politics."

Sen. Tommy Tuberville said that the top three choices for Space Command headquarters in the Pentagon site selection process were in Alabama, Nebraska, and Texas—all red states—and that "Colorado didn't even come close."

"This decision to bypass the three most qualified sites looks like blatant patronage politics," he said in a statement. "It sets a dangerous precedent that military bases are now to be used as rewards for political supporters rather than for our security."

"This is absolutely not over," said Tuberville who is locked in a standoff with the Pentagon over its abortion policy. "I will continue to fight this as long as it takes."

While Alabama lawmakers had argued for the command's headquarters to move to their state, there had been concerns over whether it could reach full operational capability if it moved to Alabama. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen said that the Missile Defense Agency had lost four-fifths of its workforce when it moved to the state in 2005.

Farmers in Howard county near Minnesota are getting lots of benefit from Biden. They will all vote for Trump.

“We’ve got a lot of windmills around here and it’s a huge benefit. Each one of those is valued at a million dollars and we’re able to tax them and it puts money in our budget so we can build bridges and roads and have money for the schools,” said Shaffer.

“I’ve got one of my farmers has four windmills and all the roads and lines. He gets $185,000 a year from it. He built a new home. He’s got new tractors. The whole northwest part of the county used to be a more depressed area. The windmills pumped in a lot of money “

Shaffer is surprised that, with so many Republicans denouncing renewable energy, the Democratic party isn’t making more of an effort to claim credit for the benefits in Howard county.

Hubka blames the Democratic national leadership, which has been accused of overly focusing on parts of the country where a majority of the residents have a college education, unlike rural Iowa.

“They need to get some balls, be more bold. I also feel like they just are writing off the rural counties,” she said.

Nebraska man sues 93 election commissioners

A Lincoln man has lost his lawsuit against all 93 county election commissioners in Nebraska, high-ranking state officials and an Omaha election software company over vague and unsubstantiated allegations of election fraud.

In a recent decision, Lancaster County District Judge Andrew Jacobsen denied Rick Hill's motion to amend his complaint for a third time.

It included QAnon theories alleging that every U.S. president since Ronald Reagan has been "heavily saturated in pedophilia with the exception of Trump," that COVID-19 was a scam to remove Trump from office and that President Joe Biden wasn't elected but "installed," along with 90% of the Lincoln City Council.

Attorney Patrick Guinan, who represented a bulk of the election commissioners, said most of the allegations involve the 2020 election and Hill failed to file notice of a tort claim in the counties first, as required to get in the court's front doors.

Jacobsen described Hill's complaint as a "rambling preamble of the plaintiff’s political and social commentary."

"A recurring theme is that the elites are rigging our elections," the judge said.

Jacobsen said, if true, such fraud would indeed be greatly concerning. But Hill's objection goes to process, not the form of government. And claims of fraud must be stated with particularity under state statute, he said.

"That standard is clearly not met here," Jacobsen said.

And he said he did not believe that Hill could cure those problems by amending his complaint, which he denied officially in late June. But he stopped short of approving sanctions against him, as sought by the defendants.

"This lawsuit is meritless. But that does not necessarily mean that it is frivolous," Jacobsen wrote.

But he warned Hill if he filed another lawsuit with the same issues, he would consider sanctions.

WASHINGTON — When it comes to the politically treacherous push to impeach President Joe Biden, House Republicans have been careful with their words.

Republican lawmakers say they're only interested in an impeachment inquiry to investigate the White House – not necessarily formal impeachment proceedings against Biden to remove him from office.

Rep. Steny Hoyer, D-Md., former House Majority Leader, also said at the time that an inquiry is “not” an impeachment, but an investigation.

Today, Republicans control the House, and GOP lawmakers calling to bring an impeachment inquiry against Biden are echoing their Democratic colleagues when they controlled the chamber in 2019.
