I personally hate ouzo, but they still have tsipouro and Masticha and a whole assortment of delightful wines and liqueurs...

My only experience of Greek grog is ouzo*. So ouzo vs scotch and awesome beer? No contest there.

a) Gallian is Italian
b) Greece has awesome beer too, an Alfa on a hot day is heaven in a glass... and tsipouro is a pomace brandy, so it doesn't quite bat in the same league as a 18yo Islay Scotch, it still most excellent

If have a big fat LOOOOOL to that. It will lose all official status, but will remain the working language, since neither French nor German, Spanish nor Italian are popular or generally known enough to replace English
