I think a coalition is very exciting and the best result. I firmly believe we need a fresh approach to sort out the economic crisis.

I do too El. Sadly I doubt we will get one.

Sorry to sound cynical - I am actually an idealistic person and despite all the evidence to the contrary which should have taught me a lesson by my age, I think being positive and solution focused is a good thing and the best way to be!

The dynamics lead to conflict and there is no easy way through the next few years.

Yeah - you might well take the piss. :nono:
Ah, well, Gordon never really "looked" like a PM. He looked like an accountant. Maybe new blood after 15 years or so will do the islands good ... like adding a fresh lime to the gin n tonic.

The Tories are a fresh approach to the economic crisis only in the same sense that a nuclear bomb is a fresh approach to urban planning.

Not as much as there used to be, for sure. Ain't democracy great.

Here's to another election later this year, when the true horror of the Torypocalypse becomes clear and the coalition collapses....

I feel better about a Tory government with the Whigs to keep them in check.

Could be bye-bye Scotland though.
