Yes, because we do not have alternatives to completely replace fossil fuels, yet, and people's lives depended on coal mining. This was an issue in another thread, about the poverty in West Virginia in the US. That's coal country. And, coal itself powers a substantial portion of the world's electricity. Like it or not. You can't strip the system of coal until you have a replacement for that energy that doesn't jack up the price too quickly and too much. People depend on that energy to keep their kids warm.

ISIS were well in retreat before Trump arrived on the scene. The American economy was powering along too - and with it job growth ad low inflation. Trump's policies have not a lot to do with any of that. Yet typically he takes credit for it. . You even had to add the word 'bogus' to the net neutrality issue because most people think throttling cheaper ISP data is a bad idea.

Net neutrality did not assure cheaper ISP data. Net neutrality is a boon to the big data users - google, netflix, facebook, etc. That's why they support it. http://www.kansascity.com/opinion/reade ... 47369.html Anyone who thinks these companies are lobbying hard for net neutrality because they want to make sure the individuals like you and me get the least expensive internet access on a nondiscriminatory basis is not being realistic. They support it because it helps protect their interests.

Trump's actions took immediate effect - deregulation - and other actions. The economy, of course, is an area where I'll credit your argument. Certainly, the US economy is hard to push around in a matter of months, so credit is due to the prior administration.
