I recognize the Jews' right to have their own state, Birobizhan actually predates the creation of the modern state of israel and lacks population to displace while being conveniently roomy. (half again as much as Israel's current area)... ok, it's in Siberia along the Chinese border, but at least it's an area that would truly belong to the people settling it.

israel is a bandit state that exists on mostly stolen land, and by terrorizing such of the native population as have not been killed or driven away. its nabors nurse justifiable grunges against it and the UN have not done a good thing by giving it a seat.

And that particular group can be specifically criticised, both for archaic beliefs and their behaviour, without going down the slippery slope which leads to general condemnation of "Jews", something with more than a whiff of the gas chambers about it...

A critique of Judaism (or particular branches of it), or attacking the politics of Zionism are similar to contrasting criticism of Islam with a generalised attack on muslims...

I don't know what it 'just' means today, but originally it meant that a Jewish homeland has a right to exist at the expense of the Palestinian people who were unfortunate enough to live there.

I don't know what it 'just' means today, but originally it meant that a Jewish homeland has a right to exist at the expense of the Palestinian people who were unfortunate enough to live there.

It's not at anyone's "expense" any more than Australia exists at the "expense" of the Aborigines. Nobody questions your right as a white person to live in Australia, and you don't even have the millennia of history there that the Jews have in the Levant.
