I watched the men's trampoline today. The GBR boy missed the cut for the final by one place, but as he'd come back from falling off and braking both his arms, his shoulder, and two vertebrae in his lower back I think he did pretty well. The Belarus competitor who went on to win had the unfair advantage of having the gravity turned down for his routine.

It's giving me the shits. In the sports that GB are on par with us - rowing and cycling, they are beating us well this year. Australia has had a shocker in the pool, and now we aren't getting as many rowing and cycling medals as we might expect, because the Brits are doing so well in those events. Not happy to be behind GB on the medal tally.

Team GB are a Olympics specialist team. On the Dutch television the commentators we making this point. The cyclists especially only really appear at the Olympics for the rest of the time they are only the oh so ran. World and European championships are less important. We had earlier in the year the European Athletic Championships here. Hardly any of the GB team showed up.
