Nope, it does not. You just need to open your eyes and click on the "not now" or "cancel" or whatever it is called. This is a common ploy to trick obstinate old men into thinking that you have to join these sites. The login/registration is massive and dead centre, and in small text somewhere hidden at the edge, normally, is the "fuck off, cunts" button.

The UK’s Office for National Statistics (ONS) has recently produced estimates of the number of British citizens living in the European Union (EU). The numbers, apparently, have declined from 1.22 million prior to 2017 to “around 900,000” (January 2017) and more recently to 784,900 (April 2018).

Meanwhile, our research has revealed that most informed commentators (academics, local government officials, consular offices, and others who work with the British abroad) understand numbers to have changed little since 2008, and that the correct, conservative, estimate is closer to 1.8 million.

The British government has not got a clue who is coming and going and who lives in the country.

They checked my passport and visa twice entering the country, but didn't on the way out. So I have an entry stamp, but no exit. I guess that they think I'm still there?

According to the ONS, "784,900 British citizens live in the EU". This figure refers to British citizens who are permanent, settled emigrants, excluding those living and working within an EU country (as they are currently entitled to do as EU citizens), students and some of those with dual nationality.

The independence of the ONS has been whittled away over time so now that it now operates in a nominally independent manner but within bounds prescribed by the government. Following the trend, at some point the ONS will probably revise it's stats inline with the more conservative estimate - but the right-leaning media will do the equivalent of burying that at the bottom of page 16 on a hot news day.

Britain's first private police force to go nationwide after success in London's wealthiest neighbourhoods

Britain’s first private police force is set to be rolled out across the nation following its success in three of London’s wealthiest neighbourhoods.

The force, called My Local Bobby, makes citizens arrests and can gather evidence to launch private prosecutions.

Clients who pay up to £200-a-month are given a direct line to a local officer, who they can also track on an iPad, and enjoy a meet-and-greet service from Tube stations or cars.

The scheme, which was set up by former Met officers David McKelvey and Tony Nash, is currently being trialled in Belgravia, Mayfair and Kensington.
