So I guess commissioning a report invalidates it's finding then?

This is the bogus "Steele" report that alleged that Trump was engaging in water sports or commissioning hookers in Russia to pee on the bed in a hotel room in Moscow - the one that was released by buzzfeed with the caveat that "the allegations have not been confirmed" (and they still have not been confirmed). LOL

On October 18, the officers of Fusion GPS, which was hired by the DNC and Clinton, pled the 5th amendment to avoid testifying about their activities - so, apparently what they would say would tend to incriminate them in unlawful activity.

Interestingly, Fusion GPS, which commissioned the dossier from Steele, at the behest of the DNC and Clinton, were involved with Natalia Veselnitskaya, the "Russian lawyer" that met with Donald Trump, Jr. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/jos ... 3ecf433c9d

Such and incestuous little circle...

The PP tapes was only one item in the report, and you'll no doubt be aware that intelligence reports are generally couched in vague terms, in inferences and implications. Nonethless, even given your objections above, the malign influence of Russia on US democratic processes and institutions is still the note that rings out loudest here.

Yeahbut...

'Hannity after reports of charges filed in Mueller probe: When will Clinton be indicted?'
Fox News host Sean Hannity responded late Friday to reports that the first charges have been filed in special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian election interference.

“When will @HillaryClinton be indicted?” Hannity tweeted, minutes after CNN reported that a federal grand jury approved the first charges in Mueller’s probe.

...

Sources told the network that those charged could be taken into custody as soon as Monday.

It is unclear what the charges are, the network reported. A spokesman for the special counsel's office declined to comment to The Hill.

Hannity, a vocal supporter of President Trump, accused Mueller in other tweets of working “hand in hand” with the media and also mentioned Uranium One, a mining company at the center of two new House investigations. Hannity also called news of the charges a “distraction.”

...

Two House committees announced Tuesday a joint investigation into the 2010 sale of the company to the Russian nuclear giant Rosatom.

Republicans are seeking information on whether there was an FBI investigation into Russian efforts to infiltrate the U.S. energy market as well as whether the deal should have been approved in the first place.

House Democrats blasted the investigations, calling them a partisan exercise to distract from various investigations into Russian election interference.

“These investigations were initiated on a partisan basis and will shed no light on Russia's interference in the 2016 election, but then again they are not intended to do so,” said Rep. Adam Schiff (Calif.), the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee.

As for the claim that the Steele dossier is 'bogus':
[T]he Steele dossier itself has been deemed credible at the highest levels of the US intelligence community, to the point where both Presidents Obama and Trump were briefed on it before its existence was made public. Independent intelligence experts have pointed out that many of its claims — though not the pee tape — have been confirmed by subsequent investigations.

“Steele and his company appear serious and credible,” John Sipher, a 30-year veteran of the CIA, wrote at Slate in September. “Well before any public knowledge of these events, the [Steele dossier] identified multiple elements of the Russian operation including a cyber campaign, leaked documents related to Hillary Clinton, and meetings with Paul Manafort and other Trump affiliates to reportedly discuss the receipt of stolen documents.”

Put most simply, the new Washington Post story just doesn’t do what Trump and his allies claim. The Clinton campaign may have helped fund the Steele dossier — and then lied about doing so — but the reasons to worry about Trump’s possible collusion with Moscow didn’t start with the dossier, and don’t end with it.

No, but the DNC commissioned the report, therefore it IS bogus, because commissioning a report always invalidates its findings.

And the pee pee event really does fit with Trump personality. He wanted them to pee in the bed Obama used in Moscow. It’s no more a stretch than the whole birther thing. America first! Pee pee second.

WASHINGTON—With sofa cushions duct-taped to their chests as they marched into the meeting, Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr. reportedly interrupted a military intelligence briefing Friday, shouting “ten-hut!” in unison and then volunteering to fight in North Korea.

What else is going on?

Trump, Assange, Bannon, Farage… bound together in an unholy alliance

The Wikileaks founder’s astonishing admission should prompt MPs finally to start asking questions

Last Wednesday, 11 months into Donald Trump’s new world order, in the first year of normalisation, a sudden unblurring of lines took place. A shift. A door of perception swung open.

Because that was the day that the dramatis personae of two separate Trump-Russia scandals smashed headlong into one another. A high-speed news car crash between Cambridge Analytica and Wikileaks, the two organisations that arguably had the most impact on 2016, coming together last week in one head-spinning scoop.

That day, we learned that Alexander Nix, the CEO of Cambridge Analytica, the controversial data firm that helped Trump to power, had contacted Julian Assange to ask him if he wanted “help” with Wikileaks’s stash of stolen emails.

That’s the stash of stolen emails that had such a devastating impact on Hillary Clinton in the last months of the campaign. And this story brought Wikileaks, which the head of the CIA describes as a “hostile intelligence service”, directly together with the Trump campaign for which Cambridge Analytica worked. This is an amazing plot twist for the company, owned by US billionaire Robert Mercer, which is already the subject of investigations by the House intelligence committee, the Senate intelligence committee, the FBI and, it was announced late on Friday night, the Senate judiciary committee.
....
The company that was spun out of a British military contractor, is headed by an old Etonian and that responded to our stories earlier this year by threatening to sue us. It’s our Cambridge it’s named after, not the American one, and it was here that it processed the voter files of 240 million US citizens.
....
(You got this? Farage visited Trump, then Assange, then Rohrabacher. Rohrabacher met Don Trump’s Russian lawyer, Natalia Veselnitskaya. Then Assange. And is now trying to close the circle with Trump.)

Fake news about 3%
https://www.westernjournalism.com/trump ... urricanes/
Nearly 10 million unique visitors read WesternJournalism.com monthly, putting the site securely among the Top 200 most-visited websites in the United States, according to global traffic analysis by Alexa. Western Journalism continues to break new records in engagement and trust in a rapidly shifting media landscape.
Another worrisome sign, especially from the Fed's perspective: Inflation, as measured by the personal consumption expenditures index, registered 1.5% in the third quarter and just 1.3% excluding food and energy — far below the central bank's 2% target.

It signals an economy still running below its potential, with wages struggling to rise despite the good headlines.
