It would be really good to know just what Trump promised.

I am jonesing for a Forty Two fix right now. Think of the mental gymnastics he'd have to perform over this Ukraine thing. He could be composing his opus magnum, but instead he's off somewhere stewing over a suspension or something... :sigh:

Maybe. It could clarify matters quite a bit, and if it's a bribe as you suggest, impeachment is much more attractive for the Democratic leadership.

Democrats are going to be awful disappointed when they find out the Ukraine deal is Trump being fine with extraditing Biden's son to a nice cozy Ukraine prison for taking bribes. Which would of course would end Biden's presidential campaign.
A rational skeptic should be able to discuss and debate anything, no matter how much they may personally disagree with that point of view. Discussing a subject is not agreeing with it, but understanding it.

Senate votes 100-0 to release Trump whistleblower complaint
The Senate unanimously passed a nonbinding resolution Tuesday calling for the whistleblower complaint related to President Trump's communications with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to be released to the House and Senate Intelligence Committees.

The resolution was hotlined, meaning that it bypassed regular Senate procedures such as floor debates and went straight to a vote where it was passed by unanimous consent. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) asked to pass it, and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Kent.) did not object, arguing that he's through with all the speculation and just wants the facts.
Not a big move, but movement none-the-less.

Is Rudy getting thrown under the bus?

Giuliani pursued shadow Ukraine agenda as key foreign policy officials were sidelined
One official — speaking, like others, on the condition of anonymity — described the climate as verging on “bloodletting.”

Trump has fanned this dynamic with his own denunciations of the whistleblower and thinly veiled suggestions that the person should be outed. “Is he on our Country’s side. Where does he come from,” Trump tweeted this week.

Trump’s closest advisers, including acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney, who was ordered by Trump to suspend the aid to Ukraine, are also increasingly targets of internal finger-pointing. Mulvaney has agitated for foreign aid to be cut universally but has also stayed away from meetings with Giuliani and Trump, officials said. But the person who appears to have been more directly involved at nearly every stage of the entanglement with Ukraine is Giuliani.

“Rudy — he did all of this,” one U.S. official said. “This s---show that we’re in — it’s him injecting himself into the process.”
FFS, the guy's just Trump's personal lawyer! :fp:

:hilarious:

It would have been illegal for Trump to NOT tell Ukraine to investigate Biden!

Elsewhere:
Meanwhile,
If you're a member of the Trump administration, get a lawyer.

If you're a lawyer for the Trump administration, get a lawyer.

If you’re a lawyer for a Trump administration lawyer, get a lawyer.

Congressional subpoenas can only be delayed for so long before they become obstruction.
Witness Cohen and Manafort. They were lawyers, remember?
