Which would be impossible (I know theoretically it could happen but in reality not). We have at present 12 political parties. This election election another 4 at least will be on the list. Five of these parties are good for almost 90 seats in the polls. So even he took all the other parties he would still have only 60 seats which is of course is cloud cuckoo land. Wilders has also problems holding onto the seats in the polls as three of the new parties are aimed at his supporters.

The major parties both left and right have declared they will never form a coalition with Wilders. Apart from the PVV which is really not right wing generally but only on one policy the only other true right/centre right party is the VVD the party from the present Minister President Rutte. Rutte formed his first cabinet with the CDA and support from the PVV. This gave a single seat majority. A member of the PVV fell out with Wilders (an easy thing to do) and formed a one seat party which meant the cabinet lost its majority and elections had to be called. Rutte vowed never again to work with Wilders.

Neither Jim nor I are commenting on the merits of what you say. What both of us are remarking on is that by saying words to the effect of "Wilders will never be elected" you sound like those who said "Trump will never be elected".

I never said Trump will not be elected because I am not that politically naive especially in a undemocratic system like the American one. Wilders will never be elected is a simple statement of fact. No party has achieved 76 seats in the Second Chamber since the 1920's. Then there were far fewer parties as well.
