Yeah he got enough of what he wanted out of Mar-a-Lardo with the big tax cut for corporations and fat cat cronies. Too soon for the fascism-curious thing though.

Re: Republicans: continued
Romney won't agree with Murkowski that McConnell's opposition to commission is just political. But it's unfortunate.
Re: Republicans: continued
5 dead?
That sounds like marketing wankery.
I remember the lies about Sicknick being bludgeoned, but later they massaged the phrasing to say 'died after'.
If they lie this way, no point believing them about the rest of the 'insurrection'.

Stating the number of casualties is "marketing wankery"?
That sounds like something an idiot would say.

No, pretending Sicknick was bludgeoned, is marketing wankery.
Especially if they didn't get the correction out to the gullible newsreaders.

Re: Republicans: continued
I guess you don't know what the word "pretending" means. You should look it up so you don't look so ignorant. Initial reports from his fellow officers said that he was hit in the head by a fire extinguisher. Turns out that may have been wrong, but he was in the thick of the fight and sprayed with bear spray, then the next day he dies of a stroke caused by a blood clot.
If you believe the insurrection and his death are unrelated, I have a bridge to sell you.

His fellow officers could be mistaken.
Reporters aren't under the same stress though. That is the marketing wankery, but you probably knew that.
You would probably prefer Crowders take on things. He IS a Republican, after all.

He even has a bit of advice for NPC's who chant along with this. What happened to Brian Sicknick was horrible. What happened to David Dorn was horrible. As was what happened to the over 300 officers who lost their lives in the line of duty. And the many more who are suicidal and suffering from PTSD...
Don't virtue-signal over one officer when you normally act like you couldn't care less about the rest of them.

Didn't you say Crowder is just a comedian? If you're right about that you ought to regard what he says as jokes.Cunt wrote: ↑Fri May 28, 2021 7:52 pmHis fellow officers could be mistaken.

Stewart is just a comedian. Doesn't mean he isn't right about his advocacy work though.

Confusing times!
They have to hang on to Trumpsters to get house or senate in 2022. But then find a candidate...any candidate...for president. Trump will be dumped by Jan 2023.

Via magic? How so? They "need him" but will just replace him, confusing indeed.
The latest fad is a poverty social. Every woman must wear calico,
and every man his old clothes. In addition each is fined 25 cents if
he or she does not have a patch on his or her clothing. If these
parties become a regular thing, says an exchange, won't there be
a good chance for newspaper men to shine?

I think it's a twofold dilemma. They need the Trump supporters support in primaries, so they kowtow to him to stay in his good graces until someone else replaces him as the Trumpist's hero.
Also, he is a billionaire and a prolific fund raiser, and "money is the mother's milk of politics" is pretty conventional wisdom.

Re: Republicans: continued
That makes sense. But the point of wanting to drop him must be to exert some control over what kind of person becomes the new hero, and I don't see how they achieve that except via magic.
Of course I have imagined some kind of failure to replace his greatness narrative playing out i.e. they are forced to settle, and that might not be so bad for everyone.
