Fuck I'm tired. That should be "I hope he drops a giant turd on the desk".

It's all over. Tories winning...will win. Corbyn crushed down. The Sun what done it. Blue Labour next.

You expect sense?

The polls are still open - no counting yet.

If the Conservatives win - which seems the likely outcome, Labour will have to find their way back to the middle ground (Blue Labour) if they want to ever get into government again as Corbin is perceived as far to the left.

I should not have to translate really should I?

Is Corbin perceived to be far to the left because he is far to the left?
“When I was in college, I took a terrorism class. ... The thing that was interesting in the class was every time the professor said ‘Al Qaeda’ his shoulders went up, But you know, it is that you don’t say ‘America’ with an intensity, you don’t say ‘England’ with the intensity. You don’t say ‘the army’ with the intensity,” she continued. “... But you say these names [Al Qaeda] because you want that word to carry weight. You want it to be something.” - Ilhan Omar

I guess it is all relative. Labour was essentially Marxist until the 70s. He would have been considered fairly middle of the road back then.

He's about as left as a Scandinavian social democrat - which is pretty bog-standard centre-left, but way to the left of the Tories (who cansider their right-drifting position an absolute normative standard).

First past the post. When votes are split between labour and SNP, Tories can win even when they have fewer than 50% of the votes.
