If not they get to suck up the collateral damage.

In the meantime PLEASE stop moaning about stuff like 20 dead kids. It's boring.
Well, actually it's the dead and their friends and family who get to suck up the collateral damage. Otherwise your post quite correctly identifies you as a dumb fuck and you win 10 internets.

ETA I expect your mum loves you.

Since this attack has been reported, I'll wait a bit for Rum to be given a 24 hour time out. If that doesn't happen soon however, I'll retaliate in kind.

Don't you know that, living in Florida, Seth is legally entitled to be judge, jury and executioner so long as he's posting from home?

Probably thinking he could match the body count faster and with less bullets

Big on judgement, short on grounding.

Make your argument.

So far you have demonstrated no understanding whatsoever about the Common Law. Run along and troll elsewhere.

No, just Israel, where law-abiding citizens walk around every day in public armed with handguns, rifles, shotguns and fully-automatic genuine "assault rifles" for defense against terrorist attack, and they haven't had an attack like this on one of their schools since the early 1980s. And yet you don't see the gutters running with blood from law-abiding citizens suddenly and inexplicably going insane merely because they possess a firearm and shooting everyone in sight. That's left to the Palestinian and other Islamic terrorists.

Go figure, more guns, less crime.

When will you idiots learn.
Yabut, they're not paranoid like you, Seth. Someone is really out to get them. The only threat you face is from your inability to shoot straight; hence all the holes in your feet.
Someone was out to get those kids yesterday. Where the fuck were YOU when it happened, and what the fuck would YOU have done if it happened where you're standing now?

Nothing, that's what. You'd piss yourself and scream and pray that someone, anyone has a gun and will defend you from your own stupidity.

Not a problem I'll ever have.
Where were you when Custer and his men were surrounded at the Little Big Horn, Seth? I think we should be told.

I think everyone over 5..4 if they are big enough, should be forced to carry as much weaponry as they can physically manage. If they get shot its their fault then. Obviously.

Actually, properly harnessed on, that much ironmongery might act as armour.

Perhaps you would like to dazzle us all with an exposition on the elements of negligence and how the tragic case of the nurse who committed suicide could be brought within them using appropriate case law? Start with the duty of care. Use Donoghue v Stevenson if you like but be careful to show how the legal decision of a Scottish court was deployed in English Common Law. Take your time, laddie.

It's not unprecedented that we temporarily lock a thread when the reports come in faster than staff can process them. :ddpan:

Seth might feel lonely around here, being the only person as far as I can tell who has reacted to Friday's news (and the enormous number of US gun fatalities compared to other advanced countries) by saying firearms regulations are too restrictive and need to be loosened, rather than the other way around, or doing nothing. Here's some company for him:

Comical as it is, it's not hard to step back and do some sociological analysis here. This is more proof that ideologies like his are fading away from the world. Forty years ago, we laughed at Archie Bunker for stuff like this. Nowadays Archie isn't even a character getting laughed at on TV; he and those like him are just old grumps yelling at people on the internet.

Oh I don't know about that. I'm at least 20 years younger than Seth, I have a university degree and am a software engineer. Most of my colleagues are also firearms enthusiasts, many of us have licenses to carry said firearms, and none of us think that passing more laws to restrict the behavior of the law abiding is a necessary and positive thing. These are educated people who range in age from 22 to 60, and they enjoy firearms and shooting. We often arrange after work trips to the firing range, and have had more than a few first time shooters who then decided to purchase their own firearms.

I don't think the firearm enthusiast is going extinct as you claim.
'Religion has actually convinced people that there's an invisible man -- living in the sky -- who watches everything you do, every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a special list of ten things he does not want you to do.. And if you do any of these ten things, he has a special place, full of fire and smoke and burning and torture and anguish, where he will send you to live and suffer and burn and choke and scream and cry forever and ever 'til the end of time! ..But He loves you.' - George Carlin
