Kick back, smoke a bowl, have a wank. You'll feel better, trust me, I know whereof I speak.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

So 42 loves Trump despite the fact it doesn't matter who's in power? You hear that 42, you can relax, you still get everything you want even if the Democrats take the House and Senate. Stay home, have a beer, watch the tube.
It does matter who is in power.

But, I'll stay home, have a beer, and watch the tube, too.

Just give the dictatorship to Trump. He is going to get it anyway.
Stop playing the illusion that people actually have something to say.
Well, better him than any of the other Republican options. At least he got some stuff done, in short order.

Democrats are showing up in North Carolina
https://twitter.com/BowTiePolitics/stat ... ections%2F

Texas. no idea. Too much fake data out there. One indication:
Twitter
TOTAL votes cast in Texas in 2014 Midterm election: 4,648,358

Early votes cast in Texas in 2014 Midterm election: 1,504,076

Early votes cast in Texas in ***2018*** Midterm election: 4,514,930

Folks, this is within our grasp. Get every person you know in Texas out for Beto.

Balltopedia
No data.
The comparisons of early voting from 2014 to 2018 are not really relevant. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/politi ... ds-n922881

Early voting is a rising trend, so early voting does not mean much. 10 years ago, early voting was still fairly new. It's been expanding every election.

That's not to say the Democrats aren't going to come away with a majority in the House, just that the suggestion that massive early votes means the Democrats are in the lead is without any demonstrable support.

Except early voters can be polled. Depending. Not worth the effort for most news.

I can't get it out of my head that the black voter turnout was amazing for Obama in 2008, and then shit for the midterms in 2010, and then again awesome in 2012, and nowhere in sight again in 2016.

How does that comport with you and everyone else saying the reason for low voter turn out among minorities is voter suppression by Republicans?
Nothing stops black people from voting in the US. Black people are perfectly capable to vote. The notion sold by the Democrats that blacks are "suppressed" by having to have an ID, or being required to register, like everyone else, is too much for them is racist.

That's not sexist or misogynistic because a Democrat said it.

Almost over, thank you Sweet Baby Jesus. I don't actually care who wins at this point, I'm completely politicked out.
Come to think of it, I have some Sierra Nevada IPA down in my second full-size refrigerator. I think ,even though it's the early afternoon, I'm going to finish my work day with a brew or two, and get ready to watch MSNBC and CNN for the results. I suspect I'll be toasting the end of the Trump administration, but if by some small chance.... "what if by some miracle, we stay, and we actually make it out of here... someday, we may just look back on this and say, saving [the Trump administration] was the one good thing we were able to pull out of this whole godawful shitty mess... if we do that, we all earn the right to [have a celebratory Sierra Nevada IPA]..."

I read Beto and Cruz is close 42, and early voting turnout has already surpassed the total turnout for the 2014 midterms! That's never good news for Republicans eh?
I heard early voting favored Republicans. I have no idea why it would favor either. What about Democrats or Republicans make them want to vote earlier? Also, early voting has just been becoming more popular election after election as people have gotten used to it.

Still, a Democrat hasn't won since the 90s. So you've got that going for you.
I don't know what's happening in the Beto election. The media licks his asshole so much, it's impossible to believe any polls. Are they push polls? The major media want Beto, and they're jerking off over him every day.

I, for one, welcome our new Progressive Overlords. Cuz I's a po-ass cracker and I wants me mo' free shit.

I'll watch Netflix and try not to think about anything, perhaps I'll stun my brain with a couple of bowls of Sour Diesel and a few Coronas. I have an excuse, the doc-in-a-box had to dig a bunch of glass out of my foot yesterday and it's throbbing like a virgin's quim on prom night.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Yeah, I gave them my ID as they never know how to spell it and find the line. Though it is by last name only. about 90% at our poll vote with no ID, and they only check the signatures. A vote is already in the box with other votes so mismatched signatures are only a statistic they collect.
Matching signatures is among the dumbest ways to "Verify" anything. People's signatures change, and they often don't sign the same way consistently. Was it a quick signature? A formal signature? Full name? First and last only? MIddle initial?

Like a normal human, I showed up at the polls with my ID and - and - my voter registration card (which is not required). That's because of my white privilege.

At least you could vote.
Here in the US, anyone can vote. The dead. Illegal aliens. And, they vote in multiple precincts. Even if you have no ID in a state that requires ID, you can still vote.

I did my civic duty. The county gave me a small dilute coffee and minimuffin while I waited for Mr Tero to finish. Had to toss the bad coffee in the bushes outside.
That's voter suppression. People who don't like muffins, and who have already had their morning coffee, are less likely to stay in line. Jews are suppressed because they prefer bagels and a shmeer to muffins. Blacks prefer cornbread to muffins. So, you know. Suppression. It's only because of white privilege that the government officials supplied white preferred muffins -- probably blueberry and banana nut muffins - to those standing in line.

And, having a queue in the first place is suppression of everyone except the Anglo-Saxon British -

The British know how to queue better than anyone else, so -- you know - voter suppression.

Having written ballots suppresses the illiterate vote.
