Hey bud, I'm an American. I'm tired of being at war with the world. Having a President call his advisors attempts to goad him into war disgusting is good for me. I want to see more of that kind of thing printed.

I'm not being fooled by anyone, and I don't think it's necessary for me to repeat my dislike of Trump and everything he's done before pointing out how much I liked this one thing.

I'm not voting for the guy.

Trump is not the good guy here. He ordered the strike then turned back on it and is trying to claim he's a champion. There is nothing to praise here. He's a lying piece of shit, has always been, and the default is not to believe a word he says.

That's fine. He can stay a piece of shit. The important bit, the part I've praised, is calling his advisors attempts to goad him into war disgusting, and having that printed. I realize Trump may have any number of reasons for doing this that don't align with my own goals.

btw --- Trump ordered the strike? Come on now. --who's being fooled here?

It's his job to order them. So yeah. He did.

Then he backed out for whatever reason and is trying to spin it in his favour. And it's clearly worked.

Okay you're just scoring points.

Bush also went to war with Iraq, but most people don't think he did it. I mean the guy was an advocate for peace between fishes and humans fer christ's sake!

 I'm happy to see the war hawks called disgusting by the President. That's a win. We need more of that in print.
I'd rather he didn't fill his cabinet with war hawks in the first place.

Hillary votes were fake!
Trump also subsequently reasserted that he doesn't "believe" in the validity of "a lot" of votes cast which show he lost the popular vote in 2016 to Hillary Clinton.
"I'll say something that, again, is controversial. There were a lot of votes cast that I don't believe," Trump said.

Conman tweets:
When our Country had no debt and built everything from Highways to the Military with CASH, we had a big system of Tariffs. Now we allow other countries to steal our wealth, treasure, and jobs - But no more! The USA is doing great, with unlimited upside into the future!

If you're referring to when the Interstate highway system was started up in 1956, the USA was $272 billion in debt then; a decade later, it was nearly $320 billion; a decade later, $620 billion.

Get the pattern? We have always used debt to build our things.

Well it did not really fit under the Republicans or election thread. Somehow these people can't see themselves as Democrats. Whereas the Minnesota Democrats have farmer origins.

The point is he pulled out, which is a good thing. You don't have to be a Trump supporter to agree that killing 150 people in response to shooting down a drone is a bad thing. I'm pretty sure most Presidents would have gone ahead with a strike like that. America is a war mongering nation. Not starting a war for a change should be seen as a good thing.

(assuming it happened as he stated, which is a big assumption).

Lol, never assume that anything happened as he stated. He said that he "called his generals" ten minutes before the strike was supposed to happen and asked them how many casualties there would be. That's not how it works. If he discussed attacking Iran with his generals, they would have given him different options, different scenarios, along with casualty estimates. This yarn that he spun about calling generals to ask about potential casualties is all BS.

And besides, HE's the one that tore up the Iran agreement for no good reason. HE's the one who sent a carrier group to go flex at Iran. He's been fucking with Iran since day one, so I don't think he deserves credit for putting out a fire that he started.
