Since this attack has been reported, I'll wait a bit for Rum to be given a 24 hour time out. If that doesn't happen soon however, I'll retaliate in kind.
On this forum, applying the rules is staff business, not yours. You don't get to take the law into your own hands ...
I got a 24 hour time out for a similar insult, so to be fair and consistent you must give Rum a timeout as well, particularly because he posted no other content than the attack, otherwise you will join the ranks of corrupt fuckwit moderators like the ones at RatSkep.

Your choice.
Thank for insulting my integrity, and other things besides. It's almost worth a report in itself, although for that to happen I'd have to take it seriously.

As you doubtless know, prior behaviour can be taken into account when judging a case, especially when there happens to be a long history with a a given poster. Also, threatening in advance to break the rules if decisions don't go your way is not likely to impress.
I didn't insult your integrity, I gave you an opportunity to be fair and consistent in your moderation and told you how I would view a failure on your part to meet the standard that the forum set for itself. If you choose to impugn your integrity by being biased and unfair, that's your lookout, not mine, and I will have no compunctions about pointing it out. I certainly hope you will sanction Rum (and aspire1670) as harshly as I was sanctioned since they began the insults without any provocation from me at all. That would restore my confidence in the honesty, probity and integrity of you as a Moderator.

The updated news says he forced his way into the school.
I don't know what they mean by that, forced open a normally locked door?
It also says the the medical examiner has ruled all victims were shot multiple times with a rifle.
Confusing, except, although the two found on him were the handguns, there was talk of a third weapon in the school.

As I said, it was reported he used a Bushmaster AR-15.. Seth claimed he left it in his car. :dunno:

I'm not interested in your opinion, nor I am I swayed in the least by your posturing. Like the rest of the staff, I intend to carry out my responsibilities correctly based on the facts, even in the face of threats to break the rules from you.

No. He evidently stole one from his mother as well as a SIG and a Glock handgun, but he left the rifle in his vehicle and did not take it in to the school, probably because it WAS NOT concealable and he felt he couldn't get past the foyer if he had it with him. The pistols he was able to conceal, but that begs the question of why the office staff buzzed in someone wearing a "military" uniform and a ballistic vest.
I know your life has been ful of fail. Seth: you failed in your brief stints as a cop and as a police despatcher; you failed as a rancher and generally you life has not amounted to a row of beans; but even you must have read that the assailant forced his way into the school. Nice attempt at victim blaming though.
I'll wait for your suspension too before I reply as I ought to your false allegations and calumnies.

And no, I had not seen that in the coverage so far. But that begs the question of how he could "force his way" into the school. This indicates a gross and incompetent failure on the part of the staff, administration and school board in not providing proper security infrastructure in the school.
I've a question for you Seth: How did he manage to get hold of his mother's firearms so that he could kill her? And perhaps more to the point, what lessons should we take from that?

The news from the start has said that a .223 rifle, didn't say what kind, was found in the car.
Maybe he couldn't carry all four, maybe two rifles was too much. I don't know. For some reason they are keeping it secret which weapon he used to kill himself with. I expect it would have to have been one of the handguns.

I suppose derailing this thread into an argument about the moderation is an improvement.

No, it just means that standards can change over time, and that this is tolerated somewhat more than it used to be. I can say this because it's been discussed recently. Trust me, we know who it is uses that phrase the most, and if we were "biased", we wouldn't be letting it go at all from anyone.

To kill and wound so many people he would have had to reload one of the pistols at the very least. He probably just finished watching the lobby scene from the first matrix and was inspired by the fire to empty and drop method.

Sorry Kev, but moderation here is biased. People aren't banned, but the clique can say and do as they please with impunity.

Never mind, Gallstones, at least you have the comfort of knowing yet more people didn't didn't die in vain but smiled at the thought they were dying for the 2nd Amendment. Yeah. Orpheus told me to 'fuck off' yesterday and it was 'well considered', by him, I believe.

I didn't report it because I usually don't report shit. I did get a spanking for making a conditional ad hominem on Seth just recently.

They are talking extended magazines of 30 rounds. He'd of had to have had more than two.
This causes me to be very curious about his mother, because they would all have been hers and she is described as a June Cleever.

How is your response in anyway related to what she wrote? Completely uncalled for and irrelevant.
