Re: How much trouble
Let's all pool our money and buy an island, we should be able to buy a sandbar somewhere off Tierra Del Fuego. I got a boat and a couple of old fishing rods.
It'll be fun, trust me.

Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Re: How much trouble
a sandbar off Tierra del Fuego? that's bound to be in the roaring 40s or howling 50s, not my kind of weather, especially since I don't speak spanish to deal with the local authorities.

better stock up on ammo, I'll need a huge big lot of practice if I want to be any good with a gun. plus, I think we'll need some exocets in case the Argentinean navy takes interest in us.

I am, somehow, less interested in the weight and convolutions of Einstein’s brain than in the near certainty that people of equal talent have lived and died in cotton fields and sweatshops. - Stephen J. Gould

All my exposure to The Big Bang Theory comes from Youtube excerpts. I enjoy watching them, bit that is enough for me. After a while it became just more of the same. No character development.Sean Hayden wrote: ↑Mon Oct 08, 2018 6:45 pm--love that clip, even posted it in the music thread once. I've never seen the show though.![]()

On the plus side, there's a Cat 3 blowing up the Gulf and it doesn't look like it's gonna hit either Sean or me.

Re: How much trouble
We are now in Pence trouble. He will be president for about a year. He has the support of many Republicans. They may even pass a law or two in 2020.
https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/pol ... 824155002/If Trump dominates the headlines, Pence has amassed a different measure of impact. He’s raised more than $70 million for fellow Republicans and made more than 140 candidate rallies or fundraising events, according to his political team.
“He’s been a secret weapon for so many members,” said House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif.
The strategy was quickly expanded to other states, providing crucial fundraising help for incumbents in a year when many were getting outraised by Democratic challengers.
On the Senate side, Pence’s extensive help for Hawley, the Missouri Senate candidate, included serving as the main attraction at fundraisers in July and October, touting the GOP tax cuts with Hawley by his side in St. Louis, and praising Hawley as a man of faith and of principle at a rally in Springfield.
“I can’t remember somebody else that has traveled as much as the vice president,” McCarthy said. “He understands what’s needed in a campaign.”

You will have to dig up some worms then. I'll put them on the hook. That's all I am going to do. I may make some beer, if we find supplies.
