Do the Police have guns? Or is Switzerland the only country in the world where the police carry guns day and night?

In the US, police can hardly move with the weight of guns, ammunition and other lethal weaponry they lug around, in between eating doughnuts... :tea:

Be the first to do so. Or stop banging on about the lack of defenders already.

All cops now have guns easily available. American ones have it on their belt. Cops have all kinds of stuff on their belt. Mall security guys have "cop jewelry" on their belt. The only thing there of use is the flash light to beat up crooks. And the handcuffs.

I'm not sure that the time of day has any influence on cops carrying guns.
Unless it could be shown that terrorists and criminals dump the weapons after teatime, I would say if you need to carry one, keep it with you. :hehe:

If any person enters hospital in a state requiring urgent medical attention, as in this case, then that person comes under the jurisdiction and authority of that hospital while treatment lasts. No outside authority can interfere with any medical procedure unless 'wrongdoing' is suspected, in which case due process must be followed.
The cop was a cunt trying to enforce an illegal procedure for his own purposes. As mentioned above, if blood was already taken, all he had to do was request a copy of the results. In any case, if he did manage to obtain a sample would the results be admissible in a court of law since it would not have been obtained under medical supervision?

Like I asked before, are you telling me that in other similar instances where people jump up to defend a cop it's because the cop had made a legal request before the situation escalated?

Where are this guy's defenders? Maybe I just need to check back into it later, they're bound to show up right?
I guess the thing is here that the cop didn't make a legal request - just because a cop tells you to do something doesn't make it legal, binding, or right. Now it's usually a very good idea to do what a member of the constabulary tells you, but that can't include infringing the rights of others. The nurse informed the cop of patient's legal rights and her legal responsibilities and he demanded that she ignore all that and just do what she was told - because I AM THE LAW!!

Just wait until they introduce "presumed consent", like they are here. They'll be able to take blood, organs, whatever, without anyone being able to stop them.

Sure. Cops routinely make demands people don't have to comply with. Sometimes people don't, and sometimes the situation is wrongly escalated to violence by the police.

I guess if he wanted defenders, he probably should have just shot her. Then maybe there would have been more to the video? It seems like when the police shoot someone there's always more to the video. Or if they choke them out, there's more to the video. Run them over with their car, there's more to the video. Punch their lights out, there's more to the video.

I guess it could just be that it's easy to see the demand was wrong here. But then we have the problem of people defending extreme violence on such flimsy grounds. :dunno:

What's the advice if a cop tells a woman motorist to take her knickers off?

I've seen the films. It happens.

Cops can ask for blood in the UK, but can't force you to give it. They just prosecute you for refusing, both breath and blood samples. But they don't have the power to order you go give either.

Many many years ago, a cop threatened me with arrest for ringing the bells of an ice cream van while it was moving. He said it was going to cause kids to run into the road. ( he was making up his own laws ).

I showed him the official local authority code of conduct which forbids ringing the bell while stationary, as it causes irritation to householders.
A lot of cops are fairly low on the intellect scale, and high on arrogance and bullshit. Like this one.

Mr M knows what he's on about. He's one of the few who fought in the ice cream wars of the 70s and 80s and who still has all their fingers. Alas many ice cream war veterans suffered with undiagnosed PTSD in a time when one couldn't get compensation if you said the trauma stopped your dick rising. Imagine that.... Oh, the horror.
