The Olympics are shite. Unless you are involved personally, most are sports that nobody would have any interest in. But people watch it, because it's big.
Nobody is interested in Judo. But at the Olympics, people watch it.
Then decide it's incredibly boring, and never watch it again for four years.

Same with shooting. For fuck's sake! It's like watching someone play a slot machine.

There should be a referendum. In or out of the Olympics. I'm voting out.

Ah, another thread on the Olympics. That means they are about to start again soon, amirite?

Last time I watched them, they were held in China, I think. I was in the local hospital's waiting room. The 25 kilometre walk was on. Very exciting, to be sure, but the organisers don't know what a draw card for KFC and Coca Cola ads they are missing out on by not including the noble sport of farnarkling. Better still, let's have the staring competition. First competitor to blink loses the match. The current world champion has retained his title by not blinking for over ten minutes. You couldn't ask for a more action packed sport, and isn't the audience who likes that sort of stuff precisely the market segment purveyors of lolly water and fatty tissue disguised as fried chicken are after?
