Democratic socialism is a bitch, isn't it?

Suck it up, you made your bed, now you get to lie in it.
In the US, you have the choice of feeling dirty, or plain stupid.
But Bush broke the rules. Dirty and stupid. As American as burger and fries.
What "rules" did he break? And how about Obama's breaking of the law, not just rules, compare?

Yeah, at least Slick Willie reformed the welfare system...for a while. And the worst lie he told was "I did not have sexual relations with that woman."

Aye, and he presided over the longest boom in US history, 50% growth in real terms over eight years, and left office with a considerable budget surplus - which was promptly given away in tax cuts by the little Bush.

Well it's much the same here in Oz. Cannot vote for the "Liberal" party (tories at heart), the labour party has a dodgy leader and is riven with factional struggles, the greens have some policies I approve on, but in many area of economic and social policy they are living in fantasy land and most of the minor parties are either totally weird of full of right wing red necks

I've been voting for weirdoes on a semi regular basis in recent years... those whose ideals I approve of. At least they still have ideals, if they are kind of issue centered and likely not ready at all to assume real power... but they are the last refuge for protest vote.
