You want to see capitalism destroyed, but you're up there in Canada drinking tequila and rooting for the Chargers, is that right? Don't you realize that capitalists exploit Mexicans to make that tequila and then make even more money off of it by shipping up to Canada?

By the way, I think Canada is a great country, one of many great countries, and I like Canadian football, soccer, rugby, etc., but one of the things that makes the NFL so great is American college football. If you grew up in the USA and went to a U that played football, there's a lot to be said for going to games and drinking a lot of beer at keggers after the game. It may or may not matter whether or not your team wins or loses, just so you can get drunk and meet girls later on.

In regards to American culture being sneaky, I have marvelled at the way that much of the rest of the world has gone for McDonald's, KFC, Starbuck's, Walmart, rock n' roll, jeans and other manifestations of American culture. It's very insidious. I don't go to McDonald's, but 1.3 billion Chinese can't wait to get their big macs. The battle for world domination may not come down to the political philosophies of Marx, Jefferson and others. Ultimately, it may be all about "Does it have a good beat?" and "Would you like fries with that?"

I'm not even sure if I would say it's preferable to a "dictator". It's still a essentially a dictatorship, only instead of one party/one person its two parties with the same ideology. Reagan TWICE AND Bush TWICE!

Oh yah, I forgot, politically active people are supposed to be boring and do nothing but read. Canaduh is a great country geographically. The government is awful though, and it only takes one look at our PM to see that the voting public are not too bright. Lots of problems here, a real backwards nation in a lot of regards.

Twoflower, I still think you're cute. Do they have cheerleaders for soccer games? If you have grown up in America, you probably would have run around in one of those cute, little cheerleader outfits. That's another reason why I love America. From what I can tell, there are hot women all over the globe, and, thankfully, America has its fair share.

The one thing I dislike more than football is cheerleaders.

Actually, I have a soft spot in my heart for Michigan. I once spent a weekend in Ann Arbor, and got laid twice. A few weeks later, I spent a night in Columbus, and didn't get any action at all. The girl in Michigan was named Kathy. There can't be more than a couple of Kathys in Michigan, right? If you run into her, tell her LaMont remembers her fondly.

Are you serious? I would definitely prefer to live under Reagan, Bush, rather than Pinochet, Franco, Mussolini, Stalin, Hitler or Ulbricht.

That other sissy game is designed for girls and guys who can "bend it like Beckham." ("Bend it like Beckham" is a reference to his dick, right?) Real men play real football! OK, I hope that settles that once and for all.

mai, Actually, I do the best that I can to stay on the "proper" side of the line when it comes to being a dirty old man. I've seen enough old horndogs make fools of themselves by fawning over young women, as if they had a chance of getting some. I've also been around enough women who have let me know how they feel when some old fart with a few drinks in him carries on like that, and they think that kind of behavior is repulsive. So do I.

I really like women; I think women are great! I think it's wonderful to appreciate their beauty, humor and everything else, and, if they're willing, there's nothing wrong with flirting and sexual innuendo. However, thinking it's going to go beyond that is what makes those "dirty old men" types look stupid.

PS: I still think she would look cute in a cheerleader's outfit. Maybe she could be cheering for an end to football.
