That is a rather peculiar way to put it. Perhaps if you were to say "the more that a muslim's religious beliefs tend towards fundamentalism" you might be more accurate...

There is a problem with both formulations: While the Qur'an is the central text for all Muslims, the Islamic religion is not at all monolithic. Interpretations of what the holy scripture actually means, and therefore what its adherents ought to do (or not do) vary widely between and within denominations. At one end of the spectrum there are the Jihadists we have become so aware of since the Taliban became a fighting force. On the other end is Sufism. Sufists focus on the mystical, spiritual, otherworldly aspect of Islam. They are numerous - I would say, though I don't have any statistics to back this up - probably the majority, and spread across all Islamic sects, but we don't hear much about them because they don't blow themselves or others up. Whatever, they all claim to be fundamental Muslims. So, basically, saying "the more Muslim a person is, the more likely he or she is to want to be an enemy of The Greater and Lesser Satans of the world" is not just inaccurate - it is outright wrong. Same goes for Jim's attempt to improve on that statement with "the more that a muslim's religious beliefs tend towards fundamentalism".

Problem is that of late, the rigorist branches of islam have been taking dominance. Past are the days when alcohol was tolerated in moderation, for instance.

The guy you are quoting spends a good deal of his time finding 'evidence' to point out the differences between the races. Odd how the white races always come top of his league. Though he has a grudging admiration for Asians I will grant you.

While I can't find anything on questia.com on the surveypolice site so I can't comment the methods that were used in this survey. Though I will note that asians do tend to have an higher IQ in most studies I have come across.

IQ tests Measure 'cognitive abilities' but most are based on Problem solving in areas that can be most easily scored numerically and applied to basic school curriculum and general employment . When applied to those things most modern IQ tests do seem to be useful BUT they do seem to be a test of skills and many of those Skills can be learnt or practiced so the idea of the IQ test as a universal test of a persons absolute mental capacity or ability is flawed .

Practicing sort of invalidates the results, and you get a much higher approximation of true IQ when its not practiced. Sort of how a bar exam measures your ability to be a "good" lawyer, and you'd expect the lawyer to pass on his first attempt to be better than a lawyer that took a dozen attempts.
