I had an early girlfriend whose folks (getting a bit elderly) worked a dairy farm. One winter's day a cow had calved, but the calf was too cold to get up. I went with the GF's dad to help. I stripped to the waist, put the calf over my shoulders and carried it to a barn (up a steep hill!), while the old bloke lead the cow behind. A very intense memory, even these many years later...

My Uncle had a dairy farm in Ireland.

One day, he roped me in to hold a bull calf down, while he castrated it.
He tied some string tight around the top of his ball sack, and cut them off with a pen knife. The poor calf was bellowing fit to burst my eardrums. I couldn't believe what I was seeing.
My uncle thought it was amusing. He'd obviously done it many times.
He was a lovely fellow. But business was business to him.

Some new phone game that's exploded over the last day or two. There's already been accidents and crime associated with it, as well as zombiefied phone users.. The news can't stop fucking reporting on it. It's only available in Oz, NZ and US at the moment, I think (although, you can get around the geoblocking easy).
