I wouldn't even entertain profiling, segregation etc. All I want is for our government to admit that there's a problem. We can work things out from there. I'm also resentful of the wilful and deliberate conflating of "Islam" and "Muslims" which has taken place throughout this thread.

There are in fact plenty of Muslims, including very prominent ones, who are on record with their condemnation of terrorism in general and the caliphate in particular. The media is not enthusiastic about reporting Muslim rejection in good part because there's no money in it, and the western armchair warriors against non-Caucasians turn a blind eye to such reports as do exist because it upsets their prejudice. Confirmation bias rules supreme.

Anybody who is even remotely interested in becoming informed on the matter will easily discover that there is in fact plenty of opposition to Islamic terrorism by Muslims themselves. Not really surprising that there would be, considering that most victims of such terrorism are Muslims themselves.
