Exactly. I'm absolutely fine about hunting for food (and or other useful products like fur or leather), but the bull fighting thing is stupid machismo at the expense of an animal.

In Oz, there is a past time in the outback of hunting wild pigs on foot, sometimes with guns, sometimes with dogs and knives. Quite dangerous, I gather, but the end result is a dead feral pig (a very damaging species to the environment), and meat for the farm dogs. So, a functional result...

I'm not defending him, I'm merely acknowledging that he wasn't a fucking cowardly pussy, which is more than I can say about a goodly number of people. He took his chances, he lost. I'll not lose any tears over his death, but he had the courage to get in the ring and stand before the bull with nothing but a red cape. Have you ever done something even remotely similar?
