Yup, leftists and Muslims with rifles at the RNC. And nobody panicked. In fact nobody really gave a damn. You see, until they start shooting they are no more of a danger to anyone else than someone driving a car...or a truck...is.

The Muslim guy even has a legal suppressor on his rifle. Evidently the Secret Service did ask to see his "license" for the suppressor. I hope he told them to pound sand, given the fact that there is no such thing as a "license" for a suppressor.

What is required to own a suppressor (or a machine gun) is that the item be registered with the BATFE pursuant to Title III of the National Firearms Act, and the ONLY thing that registration proves is that the required $200 tax on the transfer of the NFA item has been paid! Because the NFA registration is a tax matter (just as one "registers" cigarettes and alcohol and obtains a tax stamp/seal for the items)and not a firearms registration scheme the records of such registrations are confidential tax documents and therefore law-enforcement cannot demand to examine them without a federal warrant!

In fact, local police officers may ask to examine the item itself only to see that it is properly marked and serialized. If it is properly marked then the officer has neither probable cause nor reasonable suspicion to do anything, including seizing the item, and must accept the owner's word that the item is lawfully owned. An officer may take down the serial number and other identifying information of course, and could theoretically query the BATFE about the status of the item, but the BATFE is not permitted to release that information to local authorities in part because in order to obtain an NFA item a private owner must first obtain a certification from the chief law enforcement officer of the place the owner lived when the item was purchased indicating that local law enforcement "has no reason to believe" that the owner is a criminal or would be disbarred from possessing the item in that place.

But once the item has been properly transferred, the owner may move to any place where it is lawful to own that item under state law (and there are states where both machine guns and suppressors are illegal, but many more where they are legal) so long as he notifies the BATFE of the movement and new location of storage in advance of moving the item between states. This does not apply to the temporary movement of suppressors thanks to a fairly recent change to BATFE regulations, but getting a "permission slip" (really just a notification) from the BATFE before interstate movement of machine guns, short rifles, short shotguns and other types of NFA items is still required.

Anyway, lots of people carrying rifles, pistols, magazines with ammunition and body armor floating around the RNC in an exercise of lawful "keeping and bearing" of arms...and guess what...Not one of them shot anyone. Imagine that, the mere possession of a firearm did not instantly drive the possessor into insanity and murder. Go figure.

But I suppose the rule friendly idea would be to create an environment where they decide to self deport, I mean immigrate else where.
Islam could be classified as a hate crime. Then social services could take their children away AND charge them child support.
Or implement a form of sharia law for muslims. Drug use? Long jail and lashes. Shop lifting? Off with the hand! Welfare fraud? Chop chop! Rape? Honour killing time! The possibilities are endless.

Nice truck attacker Mohamed Lahouaiej-Bouhlel received logistical support for his Bastille Day attack from five suspects who are now in custody, French prosecutor Francois Molins has said.
Mr Molins told a news conference the crime had been planned for months.
He said one of the suspects had filmed the scene of the attack the day after.
