Me too but I’m not hopeful. What I see in the media is an insistence on interpreting what is happening rather than reporting it: he’s been destroyed, Trump just got ruined, everyone sees he’s a fool now, watch so and so destroy miller etc etc. Then you watch it and you’re like, no, that’s not how a lot of people are going to see this.
So when they keep talking about the end being near, I can’t help thinking they’re just doing the same thing, telling you what they think you should see whether it’s happening or not.
Many a day we are hopeful. Picture in my tweet. The AF1 stairs will be his downfall.

Right, screw that guy.
It's comments like this which are polluting our political discourse by reducing disagreement down to threats of sexual violence.

"Images will appear of millions of ordinary Americans waving American flags, peacefully reminding Trump that we are not a monarchy and demanding that the regime abide by the Constitution. When they surface, the MAGA propaganda machine sputters. Like the inflatable menagerie of characters now appearing in Portland, the appearance of No Kings protestors (e.g., a 70 yr. old holding a flag, or parents with kids carrying clever signs) undermines the MAGA lie. The true nature of the opposition (i.e. patriotic, diverse Americans) becomes harder to conceal."

"If nothing else, turning out to protest the do-nothing GOP House and Senate majorities that have abandoned their jobs, ceded the power of the purse to Trump, and resorted to demeaning and vilifying the majority of Americans who oppose Trump and virtually all his policies should be more than enough justification to link arms with fellow Americans in defense of democracy, the rule of law, and decency."

Hanging out with a few thousand of my left wing radical friends on a lovely fall day. I don't know how this will shakeout politically, but that's a hell of a large turnout in Colorado's largest Republican stronghold. The GOP talking heads are trying to minimize this movement, but the more people come out, the harder that gets.

Yeah, they even had a real Democratic Socialist as one of the speakers. Good times.

Does the US need to take of care of Argentina? After all, we are no longer saving Africa.
Economy and US financial intervention
Controversial US lifeline: The Trump administration authorized a $20 billion currency swap for Argentina to support its currency and is working on an additional $20 billion package from private sources. This aid has sparked criticism due to its perceived ties to domestic US politics and a recent government shutdown.
Political conditionality: US President Trump stated that continued financial generosity depends on Milei's party winning the upcoming legislative elections. Opposition figures in Argentina have denounced this as an act of extortion.
Stabilized inflation, growing poverty: Milei's austerity has dramatically reduced inflation, from nearly 300% in early 2024 to about 2% monthly as of August 2025. However, this has come at a great social cost, with poverty rates increasing significantly.
Short-term pain: The government's deep cuts to subsidies on energy and transport, coupled with high prices, have placed a heavy burden on pensioners and the working class. Unemployment also rose in the Buenos Aires province.
Signs of recovery: Despite the social hardship, the economy is projected to recover and expand in 2025, according to the OECD and IMF. Critics, however, question the sustainability of the economic "miracle".
