Yes, and it's probably best for the government to choose which ideology is permitted to assemble, protest or access public health services. Maybe facebook could handle the nuts-and-bolts.

Not microsoft. They are legendary for being shit about dealing with virus problems.

I still want to see those Antifa member cards or at least t-shirts. What good is an ideology with no symbols?

Oh? I kind of don't want to see them.

But we don't have real fascism here in Canada. I expect after they clear out the US, they'll hit up China, some other Eastern fascists, then head north.

The northern countries are too busy staying warm, to develop real fascism.

I think the protests will only give a small uptick. People will then decide they can do all outdoor recreation safely. Our city is trying to decide on baseball, but city pools open in a week.
:sadcheer: I wish this is so, but I suspect that there will be a second wave.

There is a sort of tornado effect now. People in Oklahoma etc run or drive to their own house when there is tornado warning. A public building usually has a safer basement. But because the "tornado never hit my house," it is the safest place to be.

People get to some routine, going to certain places. They expand this safe region. "I didn't get corona last week, so I won't get it this week either.

In this series of false beliefs, other dogs may do disgusting things, but "my dog's mouth is the cleanest place in the universe."

Covid-19 studies based on flawed Surgisphere data force medical journals to review processes
New England Journal of Medicine and Lancet peer reviewers did not see raw data behind findings before publication

Some of the world’s leading medical journals are reviewing their processes after they were forced to retract studies based on flawed data.

None of the peer reviewers who examined a questionable study on the impact of blood pressure medications on Covid-19 saw the raw data behind the findings before it was approved for publication in world-renowned medical journal, the New England Journal of Medicine.

The study was based on a massive dataset supposedly gathered from hospitals worldwide by a US company called Surgisphere, but a Guardian investigation has since revealed the database to be seriously flawed. The revelation, combined with concerns highlighted by scientists worldwide about the data, prompted the journal to retract the study. The Lancet, another leading medical journal, also published a study based on the Surgisphere database.
Yep great data.

The original article:

Unreliable data: how doubt snowballed over Covid-19 drug research that swept the world
A vast database from a little-known company called Surgisphere has influenced rapid policy shifts as the world seeks treatments for Covid-19. But as researchers began to examine it more closely, they became increasingly concerned

Dr Carlos Chaccour had just woken up in Barcelona when he opened his laptop to read the latest Covid-19 research.

Usually, he would start the day by meditating, but that was proving difficult in the middle of a global pandemic.

Overnight, several colleagues had emailed him a large study that had just been published online which examined the effect of the anti-parasite drug ivermectin on Covid-19 hospital patients around the world.

Chaccour is known for his work with the research institute ISGlobal in Spain examining parasites and microbes, exploring how these vectors spread disease and what works to treat the infections they transmit. He is particularly interested in mosquito-killing drugs, especially ivermectin. So he was intrigued by the study, which was published on 14 April in a version known as “preprint”, which means it was made available online before it had been peer-reviewed or accepted by a medical journal.

Perhaps the real point is the retraction - the mistake was found, and corrected...

Why are they burying them? Dont they have crematoriums? They are storing the problem for later. People will be walking around these graveyards.

Stupid Brazilians. Just pile them up and burn them. What's an apocalypse without piles of burning bodies?
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.
