Matt Gaetz and Michael Waltz (another Florida Republican Representative) join the club.
Two more Florida Republican members of Congress have tested positive for Covid-19, including Rep. Matt Gaetz.

Gaetz, a close ally of President Donald Trump, said he tested positive for the virus antibodies on Election Day, a likely sign he previously contracted the virus.

“I have tested positive for antibodies,” Gaetz told POLITICO in a text message. “I have no live virus.”

He said he has no symptoms, and is not sure when he contracted the virus. Playbook first reported that Gaetz had tested positive.

He was a staple on the campaign trail for the president, including attending several in-person Florida rallies.

Gaetz has long been one of Trump’s most vocal congressional defenders, a role that has continued as mail and provisional ballots cut into and overtook Trump’s lead in several key battleground states after Election Day. In the days after the election, Gaetz has made several baseless voter fraud allegations.

Gaetz is the most recent person in Trump’s inner circle to contract the virus. News broke Friday night that White House chief of staff Mark Meadows also contracted the virus. Like Gaetz, it's unclear when Meadows contracted the illness.

In addition, Florida Republican Rep. Michael Waltz confirmed Friday night he also tested positive..

Not wanting to be left out, Ben Carson went to get his dose at the White House. Everybody is saying that they have the best SARS-CoV-2 there.

'Ben Carson has reportedly tested positive for COVID-19'
Ben Carson, the secretary of Housing and Urban Development, has tested positive for the novel coronavirus, ABC News' Katherine Faulders reported.

"His deputy chief of staff says he's 'in good spirits & feels fortunate to have access to effective therapeutics which aid and markedly speed his recovery,'" Faulders tweeted. "Carson attended the election night party at the White House."

Carson is one of several people in President Donald Trump's orbit, including Trump himself, who contracted the virus, which the World Health Organization declared a pandemic in March. The White House chief of staff, Mark Meadows, told associates last Wednesday that he tested positive for COVID-19. Meadows attended the election night watch party the night before, The New York Times reported.

The party featured little social distancing and almost no masks, and with Meadows, Carson, and a number of undisclosed White House staff testing positive, the event has invited sharp scrutiny, particularly given the White House's refusal to disclose who has been infected.

These folks, demonstrating their faith in Dear Leader by ignoring pandemic precautions, bless their shrivelled little hearts.

'David Bossie, who was named to lead Trump effort to challenge election results, tests positive for coronavirus'
David Bossie, who just days ago was tapped to handle President Donald Trump’s effort to challenge the results of the presidential election, has tested positive for the coronavirus, NBC News reported Monday.

As a result, Bossie is no longer part of the decision-making process of that challenge effort, a source told NBC News.

Bossie’s diagnosis came to light hours after news broke that Trump Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson was positive with Covid-19, and days after White House chief of staff Mark Meadows was revealed to be positive with the virus.

Two sources who spoke to NBC News said Bossie tested positive for Covid-19 on Sunday.

One source said, “Because he can’t be at the campaign headquarters and he can’t be in the Oval Office [due to his diagnosis] Dave’s no longer a part of the decision-making process.”

3 more dead, up from 50

Hospitalizations for COVID-19 positive patients: 121 with 47 from Lancaster County (one on a ventilator) and 74 from other communities (nine on ventilators).

The county hospitalizes counties West of us, as only Grand Island has a major hospital.
