The left is irrelevant here, I think. The narrative where Biden sicced the dread minions of the Deep State on Trump to shouts of joy from the fascist Democrats is all very well, but in reality it appears that Trump has run afoul of the same institutional machinery that Snowden did.

A machinery the left is happy to demonize.

Aye, and worthy of demonization it often is. Nonetheless it may prove successful in thwarting a second term for the narcissistic wannabe autocrat.

Trump speech
https://twitter.com/JackPosobiec/status ... 2444900352
It's hard to believe anyone is so gullible to think that he is going to bring back 1950s white America AND punish communist China at the same time. Mybe the first time, but didn't they see he could not do it in four years last time? why give him a second chance?

They are unlikely to know their own reasons for supporting Trump. Don’t do their thinking for them.

Manning and Snowden whistleblew that the State was circumventing it's obligations to human rights and wilfully breaking international and US law. Being critical of that kind of thing isn't demonizing the State - nor, imo, should it be cast as the sole preserve of The Left.

Us little people have always been critical of the big, powerful people, regardless of our political inclinations. Unfortunately the big, powerful people have been telling us for so long that what we're criticising them for is actually the fault of some other little people that we've started to take it as a given. :tea:

Aside from still winning the 2020 election, Trump has a new focus:
The former president said: “The FBI and the justice department have become vicious monsters, controlled by radical-left scoundrels, lawyers and the media, who tell them what to do.”
