"I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, and I wouldn't lose any voters, OK?" Trump remarked at a campaign stop at Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa. "It's, like, incredible."

He can't just go "Cohen did it" or "Rudy did it" this time.

By answering yes, they would feel they are supporting a leader under siege by his enemies, even if they had some misgivings about him...

At least Nixon was gracious enough to step down on his own when his shenanigans caught up with him

You'd think frump believes that if convicted while in office, he'd still have time to pardon himself before being demoted and thrown in the clank.

The new world order according to Trump. He rules Americas, Jinping, Kim Il Sung and Putin rule the rest, except the countries given to Islamic terrorists.

MSNBC wrote:

Donald Trump sent an ally with access to the DOJ to "pass along a message" to Attorney General Garland that "the country is on fire" and Trump is willing to act "to reduce the heat," according to the New York Times. The unusual attempt to secretly back channel with the DOJ, after Trump's home was searched and as he is the subject of multiple investigations, comes amidst "a spike in threats" to police identified by FBI director Christopher Wray, and several alarming incidents and arrests. MSNBC's Chief Legal Correspondent Ari Melber reports on the violent context for Trump's "message," and the failure of efforts to negotiate or "appease" individuals threatening violence to deter the rule of law.

Trump's revenge campaign candidates having success. In many cases the candidate changed from ignoring Trump, or even opposing him in Jan of 2021. So they just got a good boost to their near winning support via Trump.

Many Trump non-supporters retired.

No matter who is suspected (Trump: the boxes are all mine! Mine) a judgr is unlikely to release an ongoing investigation document. Yrump has the search warrant.
