Is it wrong of me to have a little schadenfreude in wishing for an up-tick in COVID-19 cases (hopefully non-fatal) amongst the MAGA-hatted, gun totin' crowds, all pressed together friendly-like in their protests against evil government and know-nothing medical scientists?

Maybe. The scientists would ignore everything about the humans, except their transmission of the virus.

So yeah, they probably don't want it spreading.

And I'm making a bet that, somewhere in America, a crazed evangelical is thundering from his pulpit in social media that the closure of churches is a plot by evil atheist scientists...

It might look that way, especially if one religion is treated differently than another. In a couple days, a holy month starts. If they aren't restricted the same way that the Christians were over Easter, it might look suspicious.

For me, religion IS an interesting one (to see the difference in treatment by government, I mean) but a better difference is looking at who is still getting their hair and make-up done.

If it's a pro job, the politician/celebrity is outing themselves as an asshole, who breaks self-isolation for frivolous reasons.

It's been suggested that some deaths are more politically damaging than others.

The example given was 'triage deaths' were more damaging than were 'disease deaths'.

How could this skew numbers? I mean if there were humans collecting the data, with shitty human motivations and drives...
