Pilot did not have his papers straight. And they had to find an airfield he was qualified to land in.
Though the passengers figured that would be the end of their troubles, they were astonished to find it would be another 90 minutes before a qualified pilot was found to fly them back to their intended destination. The plane eventually arrived back in Jackson Hole just before 3 p.m., about three hours after it was due to land.

In what the outlet described as a “somewhat convoluted explanation,” SkyWest told Cowboy State Daily that the incident aboard Flight 3491 was due to “a paperwork error.”

“[The aircraft] landed for a short time in Salt Lake City to correct a paperwork error related to the flight crew,” the airline reported. “The flight continued to Jackson Hole after a delay while a new pilot was secured to operate the flight. All pilots involved were qualified to fly and land the aircraft; the flight diverted from Jackson Hole due to an internal administrative error and out of abundance of caution.”

As it turns out, JAC is a particularly difficult airport at which to land. In 1990, the airport earned a Special PIC (Pilot In Command) qualification which requires that “a more experienced line check airman” be sitting copilot

WASHINGTON, Aug 19 (Reuters) - The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration said on Monday it would require inspections of Boeing (BA.N), opens new tab 787 Dreamliners following an incident in March when a LATAM Airlines (LTM.SN), opens new tab plane went into a sudden mid-air dive that injured more than 50 passengers.
The FAA said the apparent reason for the dive was the uncommanded movement of the captain's seat, which caused the auto-pilot to disconnect. The agency said it had received a total of five reports of similar problems with the captain and first officer seats on 787s, the most recent in June, and two remain under investigation.

Airlines must perform any necessary corrective actions if issues are found.
The FAA said uncommanded horizontal movement of an occupied seat could result in a rapid descent of the airplane and serious injury to passengers and crew.

But there is still nothing like the Concorde...I count myself VERY lucky to have flown in one.
Prime has an aviation series on about sound barrier and a variety of other planes many of which never made it into the air or production.

Another 737-800 has problems
https://www.yahoo.com/news/passengers-f ... eFFBLnu6vB
During the initial takeoff, the amateur videographer noticed the plane engines stalled, which drew some concern, but when it happened again during the second attempt, he knew something wasn’t right.

“Second attempt began with a proper takeoff, but the engine sounded unusually loud. The plane gained speed, but I noticed that it had already passed the usual takeoff point near the first Air Force hangar,” Toyabut said.
I've flown in both 737-800s and MAXs. Very common. Southwest's entire fleet is those.

Nobody knows helicopers like Trump
"The helicopter was going straight at the airplane for an extended period of time. It is a CLEAR NIGHT, the lights on the plane were blazing.

"Why didn't the helicopter go up or down, or turn. Why didn't the control tower tell the helicopter what to do instead of asking if they saw the plane.

Like I said, a nation of crazies. Tero's so fed up he can't let simple questions slide. I'm sure we'll get a link soon to an essay explaining in great detail how these aren't just questions, and only experts should ever talk about such things, and besides this is the President of the US asking these questions, so they carry blah, blah, blah....

One of the talking heads said we should limit our focus to promises not kept to avoid becoming numb--better I think to avoid going crazy.
