Turns out China acts like all other powers on the planet. Check-mate, Chinese culture.

Re: Who will defend Hong Kong?
The Chinese in HK should defend it, obviously.
With their alliances built over the years, they should have friends helping. Trouble is, the sports teams can take a knee for the Marxists, but the other sports teams can't criticize the CCP (the NBA stopped it on behalf of their much-loved CCP bucks)
I have been trying to spot CCP propaganda, but it isn't as easy as one would think. Their influence on the WHO was pretty clear, but pointing it out isn't.
I guess they already have Taiwan, HK, and Australia (among other new territories, like Canada) but I don't know what their control will look like. I guess the only way to tell, is to see who is bold enough to satirize the CCP and it's officials.
So where IS that satirizing? I remember a graphic of Winnie the Pooh being somehow irritating to the CCP, but I really don't know enough about them to know more.

Ain't nobody gonna do shit.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

I don't understand the 'fake gold' thing, but if they were lying about their wealth, it fits in with most of the wealthy blowhards I know.
Re: Who will defend Hong Kong?
if the CCP is producing propaganda to further their more troubling goals, what would it look like?
In other countries, I mean...which narratives would they support?

Re: Who will defend Hong Kong?
They might steal the Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere concept, delete the words "Greater East" a few years later, and finally replace "Asia" with "Global".

Who ever thought that a little thing like a treaty would stop China? Top drawer naivety.
