Bla bla bla Hillary bla bal bla. Heard it all.

British soccer team wanted a trip to Las Vegas to celebrate. One team member could not get a visa as he had arrests for violence. Somebody knew somebody and sent another somebody to DC to make a BIG donation to Hillary foundation from a sports organization. Big shot gets meeting with Hillary. Can you get my guy into US? Goes away. Hillary or an underling makes a phone call US London embassy. Short discussion. Hillary calls big shot: we can't get you a visa. Sorry.

It goes on and on like that. Dozens of examples. She was not going to get caught. At best, she could advance someone's paperwork. They would have gotten what they wanted anyway by waiting a little longer. No laws broken.

Both Huma and Cheryl Mills lied to the FBI about the existence of the email server, and the FBI decided not to prosecute them. They also decided not to prosecute Hillary over classified emails on the server.
The FBI might be getting ready to change their mind, and charge them.
A rational skeptic should be able to discuss and debate anything, no matter how much they may personally disagree with that point of view. Discussing a subject is not agreeing with it, but understanding it.

What you just described is the crime of bribery of a public official. 18 USC Sec. 201(b) - giving or accepting of anything of value to or by a public official, if the thing is given "with intent to influence" an official act, or if it is received by the official "in return for being influenced." If what you described occurred, then a foreign national bribed Hillary Clinton to get her to pull strings in the Department of State (perform an official act, to wit - get a visa issued).

The thing that was interesting in the class was every time the professor said ‘Al Qaeda’ his shoulders went up, But you know, it is that you don’t say ‘America’ with an intensity, you don’t say ‘England’ with the intensity. You don’t say ‘the army’ with the intensity,” she continued. “... But you say these names [Al Qaeda] because you want that word to carry weight. You want it to be something.” - Ilhan Omar

I mean, this is a country where John Boehner literally handed out money from tobacco companies to members on the House floor as they prepared to vote on abolishing subsidies for the tobacco industry. But let's piss and moan because Hillary may have tried to grease a few wheels for people who donated to her charity.

She knows all that. It was an American that tried to bribe her, saying he was the host of the soccer team.

It won’t hold up in court as there was no if then part. The donation is seen as voluntary. A state department is allowed to look into visa issues. It was possible that a visa was denied for no good reason. The london embassy were her underlings. She is allowed to check their work. It was fine. No action needed.

These were foreign governments she was colluding with to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars. A Secretary of State sets up a "charity" and uses that charity to get foreign governments to pay money in order to secure influence with the US state department, and this is "oh, come on!" to you?

The political organization of Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe gave nearly $500,000 to the 2015 election campaign of the wife of an official at the FBI who helped oversee the investigation into Mrs. Clinton’s email server.

The King of Morocco agreed to donate $12 million to Clinton Foundation and host a Clinton Global Initiative summit only if Mrs. Clinton attended a 2015 meeting “No matter what happens, she [Hillary Clinton] will be in Morocco hosting CGI on May 5-7, 2015,” Huma Abedin, a top Hillary Clinton aide, wrote in a November 2014 email wrote to several other advisers, including campaign chairman John Podesta, which was released by WikiLeaks. “Her presence was a condition for the Moroccans to proceed so there is no going back on this.”

Bill Clinton got $1 million birthday present from Qatar for 5 minute meeting request “[Qatar] would like to see WJC ‘for five minutes’ in NYC, to present $1 million check that Qatar promised for WJC’s birthday in 2011,” an employee at The Clinton Foundation said to numerous aides, including Doug Brand, according to an email released by WikiLeaks. “Qatar would welcome our suggestions for investments in Haiti — particularly on education and health. They have allocated most of their $20 million but are happy to consider projects we suggest. I’m collecting input from CF Haiti team.”

“Friends of Bill” (FOB) rewarded at State Department after 2010 Haiti earthquake. The State Department gave special attention to Bill Clinton’s friends after the Haiti earthquake. While Mrs. Clinton’s State Department sent on emails from Friends Of Bill (FOB) to senior officials coordinating the U.S. response to the Haiti earthquake, offers of aid from people that did not have connections to the Clintons were cast aside.

Hillary Clinton’s State Dept. Gave Clinton Foundation Donors Weapons Deals

“Under Clinton’s leadership, the State Department approved $165 billion worth of commercial arms sales to 20 nations whose governments have given money to the Clinton Foundation, according to an International Business Times analysis of State Department and foundation data,” reports IBT. “That figure—derived from the three full fiscal years of Clinton’s term as Secretary of State (from October 2010 to September 2012)—represented nearly double the value of American arms sales made to the those countries and approved by the State Department during the same period of President George W. Bush’s second term.”

Clinton State Dept. approved transfer of 20 percent of U.S. Uranium to Russian Government, as Clinton Foundation took in $145 million in donations from investors of the deal

According to a New York Times investigation, Mrs. Clinton’s State Department was one of nine agencies that had to approve the Uranium One deal to the Russian government, which it did. “The sale gave the Russians control of one-fifth of all uranium production capacity in the United States,” the Times reported. According to their analysis, $145 million in donations was given to the Clinton Foundation by uranium executives lobbying for the deal. Mr. Clinton received $500,000 for a Moscow speech from a Russian investment bank with links to the Kremlin that was promoting Uranium One stock, the Times reported.

A For-Profit University Put Bill Clinton on Its Payroll and received an increase in funding by Mrs. Clinton’s State Department According to a report by Bloomberg: “in 2009, the year before Bill Clinton joined Laureate [Universities], the nonprofit received 11 grants worth $9 million from the State Department or the affiliated USAID. In 2010, the group received 14 grants worth $15.1 million. In 2011, 13 grants added up to $14.6 million. The following year, those numbers jumped: IYF received 21 grants worth $25.5 million, including a direct grant from the State Department.” After Mrs. Clinton became secretary of state, Mr. Clinton received $17.6 million in payments from a for-profit university, CNN totaled. It was not clear what Mr. Clinton did serving as chair for the university.

Clinton Foundation cashed in as Sweden lobbied Clinton’s State Department on Iranian sanctions. Bill Clinton’s foundation set up a fundraising arm in Sweden that collected $26 million in donations at the same time that country was lobbying Hillary Clinton’s State Department to forgo sanctions that threatened its thriving business with Iran, according to a report by The Washington Times. The Swedish entity, called the William J. Clinton Foundation Insamlingsstiftelse, was never disclosed to or cleared by State Department ethics officials, even though one of its largest sources of donations was a Swedish government-sanctioned lottery.

Based on the facts as you gave them, it was bribery. I have no doubt she's smart enough to cover herself, if indeed she did what you said she did. She's a scumbag, and a smart one.

Forty Two wrote:JimC or any other moderator: What gives? Why would you take two news, politics and current events threads on two completely different issues, and put them in one "talk about Hillary Thread." There are at least half a dozen threads dealing with Donald Trump and new ones are created from time to time.

Merging the two threads (one about "pay-for-play" and the other about "security breach of confidential information") makes it very difficult to deal with the substance of each of those investigations. Why would they be merged?

Is it because some forum members don't want certain topics discussed?

This looks like a concerted effort to simply kill a conversation that could take place. These are not the same topics -- so if someone posts a development on the pay-for-play scandal, it's going to be intermixed with general Hillary posts, sarcastic comments peppered in about how we shouldn't be joking about Hillary or how Hillary is not relevant anymore since she's not President, etc. -- and hosts of other topics about Hillary Clinton, including the old scandals about and her various lies and other defalcations. It makes for a very muddled discussion.

Can someone help me out here and explain this merger?
