Yes, unfortunately It's quite common to come across slow witted people, even on 'intellectual' atheist forums.

Fortunately, there are also energetic intellectual, courageous reformers, such as Tommy Robinson:

The lumpen have always been ignorant fucks, and always will be. Most people simply lack the intellectual curiosity or indeed the ability to understand anything more complex than macaroni and cheese in a box. That's why they put pictures on fast food menus. How they manage to function as well as they do is pretty amazing, actually, but you don't really need differential calculus to dig a ditch or drive a car (particularly with an automatic transmission). This isn't an American phenomena, the majority of the world's population are ill-educated, ignorant, and too stupid to realize exactly how ill-educated, ignorant, and stupid they are.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Indeed so. That's why I retitled the thread (for my posts): "This could explain the whole goddam species!"
Talking of putting pictures on fast food menus; it's common now to put pictures on the cash registers: the counter staff aren't trusted with entering the correct price into the register... they just press picture buttons.

I was at a supermarket once when the cash registers failed. I bought something that cost $19.95 and gave the sales girl a $20 note. She couldn't work out what the change should be. A manager had to be called in to work it out (she wouldn't trust me saying again & again, "give me 5 cents!")

People can't grasp what the implications are: The smarter our machines become, the dumber we get. Had an argument with a high school maths teacher. She said "The students don't need to learn multiplication tables anymore, or be able to do manual arithmetic, because these days we all have calculators." That dumb shit from a math teacher!
But not to worry... not long to go now. Not long to go... :drunk:

And it's all engineered by the psychopathic greedy 1% rich. They have no interest whatsoever in educating 'the masses' as long they can cream-off wealth to their own tax havens. The 'digital revolution' is a blessing in disguise, surreptitiously persuading the 'unthinking masses' to be even more unthinking.
The world financial 'cake' has a finite richness overall where 'richness' creation remains fairly stable. The '1%' do not create wealth but rather move 'wealth' from one part of the 'cake' to another thus living with an illusion that they are 'creating wealth' for themselves.
As long as the majority of a population remains uneducated and ignorant, the '1%' laugh all the way to the banks, er, tax havens.

Yes. But when I mentioned a "planned" strategy to keep the livestock down...then get rid of them once AI versatile robots arrive... I was called "delusional & paranoid" by my older brother, who went on to write that he did not wish to communicate with such people.

Find it strange that the herd has stayed as the herd for thousands of years, no matter what, but still has absolute faith in their god and their rulers. In fact many religions dictate as a matter of faith that "your kings (rulers) are the Shadow of God on Earth, and you MUST respect & obey them".

So it is ingrained into the psyche of the religious (ie, most people) that there is a Divine Order, a natural scheme that can not, must not be challenged, because God has decreed it so. That's why atheists have been so readily hunted down & exterminated throughout the ages, everywhere. That's why we tend to keep our thoughts to ourselves & pay lip service to the superstitions & mumbo-jumbo we are immersed in.

This intermission in Western society is merely a pause, giving relative liberty to freethinkers. The Great Culling will end it... :td:

More absolutely brainless dumb nonsense. Atheists have not been 'hunted down and exterminated'. Far more - by a very large factor - religious people have killed other religious people because they disagree with their version of what their god looks like.

People are dumb when they don't receive a decent education. Where they do they aren't so dumb. Education and the widening of people's horizons as a result have grown beyond what would have been believed a hundred years ago. It is a real human achievement, which in your frightened paranoid world view you ignore and instead see plots, evil plans and secret evil overlords. Sadly of course the education system in America is very poor indeed (it ranks 17th among the 34 OECD countries) which explains people like you. You are, in passing and by accident right that religion controls thinking - or did in the past. Religion and politics were one and the same thing for centuries. In countries a bit more advanced than America that has been left behind.

As ever you mould, warp and shape reality to suit your paranoid and inhumane and frankly ridiculous view of the world. People here laugh at it of course. Don't for a moment think you are taken remotely seriously.

The irony of Galaxian talking about irrational religious thinking... Dude, you're a fucking paranoid schizophrenic. You should be banned from internet access as part of your treatment plan.

It explains nothing in this case. 1) Education is no cure for paranoid schizophrenics. 2) Unless I am mistaken Glaxative is not American.

We have no evidence either way of his mental well-being. He could well be schizophrenic or could could just be delusional. In addition suffering from schizophrenia does not make you dumb or necessarily ignorant. Not only did I work with schizophrenics in my 30s and so know a bit about the subject, but close friend of mine and short term business partner was schizophrenic and was one of the brightest people I have ever known. He was a linguist and fluent in 12 languages. He still thought Chinese agents were out to get him when he was unwell.

You may be right about his nationality but I thought I'd read references which led me to assume he was American. Could be wrong.

Knowing the Chinese, they probably were out to get him. Linguist fluent in 12 languages?
A rational skeptic should be able to discuss and debate anything, no matter how much they may personally disagree with that point of view. Discussing a subject is not agreeing with it, but understanding it.
