I've checked them, to convict, guilt must be established beyond all reasonable doubt.
That pistorius killed that lady is certain, that he actually wanted to kill her hasn't, so murder, unlike manslaughter, is not established.

Firstly, you said beyond any possible doubt. Which was bollocks.
Secondly, you don't have to WANT to kill someone, for it to be murder.
Check your facts.

Fact is that one necessary component of murder is intent. Without it it is homicide, which I believe is what Pistorius was convicted of in the first instance.

Are we sure it was the same female judge?

If it was, I do find that rather strange...

He clearly had malicious intentions towards the person in the toilet.
Four or five times. Not warning shots out of a window, but aimed at the person behind the door.

His intent was perfectly clear. To kill the person behind the door.
That should be easy for anyone to grasp, and it was certainly clear to the court of appeal :

In December 2015, the Supreme Court of Appeals overturned the culpable homicide verdict and found Pistorius guilty of murder, believing Pistorius should have known that firing his gun would have killed whoever was behind the door, regardless of who he thought it was.[199] On 6 July 2016 Judge Thokozile Masipa sentenced Pistorius to six years in prison for murder, although the prosecution has called for 15 years, the minimum prison sentence in South Africa for murder.[199] Masipa argued that Pistorius had already served 12 months in prison for the culpable homicide conviction and was remorseful for his killing.[200]
Yes it's the same woman judge. The same woman who accepted his ridiculous story of imaginary burglars, who accepted that multiple witnesses reports of a woman screaming were wrong, it was a man, and who has obviously either taken money, or lost her fucking mind.

Her sentence of one extra year literally means one sixth of that behind bars, i.e. two months.
A few years ago, it would have meant execution. Now it means two months extra.
The country is a fucking joke. It's perfectly obvious she's been paid off, and they are getting away with it, in full public view.

Maybe so, but I wasn't arguing the case. I merely wanted to draw your attention to a factual error you made.

Does South Africa have a legal system? I always thought it was a bribe system as it has very little to do about finding the truth. Mind you that is very common in the Anglo-Saxon legal systems around the world. :smoke:

Well, you didn't do a very good job. I don't see where you referred to a factual error, or where you demonstrated that it was so.

 Brits tend to think that the justice system of every country is inept and crooked because, as we all know, the UK is the one nation on Earth when the application of justice runs with nary an issue.

In the UK, according to the government website, if you get a sentence of over 12 months, you spent the first half in prison, and can spend the second half out on license.
Not one sixth in prison, as described in South Africa.

I don't know how rigidly this is applied, but that's what they say.
The mandatory UK sentence for murder is life. Which usually comes with a minimum term set by the judge, before the killer is eligible to apply for release on license.
That license applies for the rest of your life. You're never free of it.

According to wikpedia, murder involving a firearm in the UK would get a minimum tarriff of 30 years, before parole can be considered.

In South Africa, for this cunt, it's just over 12 months.
