I think that the North and South Islands of NZ, Wales, England, Scotland and Northern Ireland should all become separate states of Greater Australia.

It might be better for some of the mainland European countries if the UK left, since our governments tend to be one the main voices in Europe for big money corporate establishment and anti-democracy and anti-environment. But I think it would be equally bad for us here if we left for the same reasons.

The main thing that worries me though is what would happen to the people who have moved country (in either direction) and set up lives in new places? I've made several good friends from other European countries, are they going to be made to move away?
[Disclaimer - if this is comes across like I think I know what I'm talking about, I want to make it clear that I don't. I'm just trying to get my thoughts down]

No, but they will be forced to wear a large pink EU sign on all their clothing... :tea:

(and tattooed on their bodies if they appear naked anywhere...)

That is surely(?) being debated during the public debate UK is having(?) over this. I would assume such people could/would be treated as other people who cant reside in the UK today. I was deported twice by UK customs before we joined in the EU in 2004.

There doesn't seem to be much public debate really, - just opposing sides. On one side a large number of UKIP types who say immigration is bad because there's too many foreigners and who seem to think that everything would be rosy without them and who won't hear or say anything to the contrary. And then the opposing side mostly either just saying that the UKIPs are small minded bigots or the pro-EU corporate Tories saying that we need cheap immigrant labour for our economy. I've heard very little detail about what the UK leaving the EU would actually mean for the people on the streets.

That we both can, at least, agree upon.

As for your English referendum, you will remain a satellite of the Prussian Empire, stay or go.

Is it not so?

Hey y'all, we're accepting applications for territories, with possible statehood later. We'll give you assault rifles and real football.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

A president with a British accent would just confuse everyone.

The US needs a 51st state. It doesn't look like Puerto Rico wants to commit. The US hasn't had a queen governing an island since the Dole Pineapple company overthrew Queen Liliuokalani

I don't have anywhere to put a gun rack. This is vexatious.

Oh, I forgot the free pick-up truck! Big one, with dual rear wheels, gun rack, and set of steer horns for the hood. (You'll have to stop calling it the "bonnet", because that's headgear for wimmin folk). And a "boot" goes on your foot. You can still say "windscreen", though.

If Americashire is to be recognised as a proper county, you'll have to have your own cricket team.

Indeed, though baseball is over in a flash.
