How much do they cost, compared to how much they contribute? It's not as rosy as your one-sided picture portrays.
So some of them become doctors and surgeons. They also need the time of doctors and surgeons, and take those jobs from Australians.
So what if they start businesses and employ people? That means that they are taking trade from current businesses, who then have to lay people off.

They only make a finite contribution to other Australians when they are involved in producing exports. Otherwise, they are of zero benefit to the resident population.

It is not one-sided, simply because I never denied that there are costs. What I did say, is that eventually the refugees will become assimilated and net contributors to production and services industries. History has proven that to be correct in the long run.
