I always liked "if you've got them by the balls their hearts and minds will surely follow".
Of course it's not racist, there's a law against that! How can it be racist if it's against the law? Just like if you pass a law banning guns there won't be any more gun crimes. This is Modern Liberalism 101, y'all. Just make a fucking law and problemo solved.

Law got no teeth is a pointless law but it will keep lawyers well fed drawing it up so it makes sense in that way.

What will the world be like after its ruler is removed?

A bit like how Edison invented the light bulb.piscator wrote: We like to excel in the arts between inventing the integrated circuit and splitting the atom. It's not all about feeding half the world while blowing the fuck out of the rest, you know.
And splitting the atom might have been helped along a bit by Einstein, a german.wikipedia wrote: Early developments of the integrated circuit go back to 1949, when German engineer Werner Jacobi (Siemens AG)[6] filed a patent for an integrated-circuit-like semiconductor amplifying device[7] showing five transistors on a common substrate in a 3-stage amplifier arrangement. Jacobi disclosed small and cheap hearing aids as typical industrial applications of his patent. An immediate commercial use of his patent has not been reported.
The idea of the integrated circuit was conceived by Geoffrey W.A. Dummer (1909–2002), a radar scientist working for the Royal Radar Establishment of the British Ministry of Defence. Dummer presented the idea to the public at the Symposium on Progress in Quality Electronic Components in Washington, D.C. on 7 May 1952.[8] He gave many symposia publicly to propagate his ideas, and unsuccessfully attempted to build such a circuit in 1956.

Einstein was an American. If he's German then I'm Scottish.

Einstein was born in Germany in 1879 and grew up there, emigrating to the US in 1933 as a refugee.

The Devil's in the details, you insecure person.
A nondocumented bit of fiction from the Electronic Product News is not an encyclopedic source for anything. And considering Andy Grove and Leslie Vadasz, you should be pimping Hungarians as the "Real brains behind Silicon Valley"...

I am, somehow, less interested in the weight and convolutions of Einstein’s brain than in the near certainty that people of equal talent have lived and died in cotton fields and sweatshops. - Stephen J. Gould

Re: Is the American business community racist?
He was inconsistent. Never really grasped quantum mechanics. Dogmatic naturalist to the end, not quite new age but very 'this is what I see, this is what I get' sort of guy. Would never grasp the world today. The universe he imagined, could never be. Suffered from a very naive childlike notion of friend and foe, misunderstood the ramifications of his own work. He was responsible for Hiroshima. A warcriminal of the universe. Where is the peace? A slow motion WW3 is still a WW3.JimC wrote:Einstein was a citizen of the universe!
