I haven't seen or heard of a film worth paying for in the last 10 years. They're not worth watching when they're free.
They should be paying us.

Edit. Oh damn, I forgot Mister Bean.

One, then.

Films are as good as they have always been but with better production values varying from rubbish to average to Oscar winning

oscars, like golden palms, have nothing to do with the actual value and quality of the movie.

Neither does any one individuals views, box office sales are the only real way to value a movie

I know perfectly shitty movies that have had multiple oscars and great box office results.

Half of most other people are below average intelligence. They shouldn't get to comment on films they are too thick to understand. :tea:

Shit sells. When you say value is proven by box office, it just proves that it's marketable shit.

There's shit that sells and shit that don't. It's still shit.

But to me, 99% of films are shit, so I guess I'm hard to please.

Immunicity resurrected by anti-censorship supporters

Less than a week after the UK 'piracy police' shut down the proxy service Immunicity and arrested its owner, clones of the service have started to appear online. The services allow people to access The Pirate Bay and other blocked sites. Just like the original site they are completely free of charge.

“The Net interprets censorship as damage and routes around it.”

Anti-piracy works fine, its not aimed at uber geeks. It's aimed at people who would struggle to install a new browser or patch which is most the population.

In the end I suspect people will simply need to be licensed to access the internet (which some people will avoid but most won't). When losing your license to access the internet is as serious as losing your driving license you can guarantee people will be a bit more cautious over what they download even if the individual chance of getting caught is low

People aren't decent because its natural they act based on reward and punishment. The widespread nature of software piracy shows that most people will be steal if they think they can get away with it
