Real power is not held by the politicians but by multinationals
My mind tells me what to think and always has and always shall
but who tells your mind what to tell you to think ?
No one tells my mind what to tell me to think because it thinks for
itself as that is how it has always been and shall always be as well

No one has access to my mind other than me and so even if they were
telling me what to think they would not know if I actually was or not

Do you allow them to tell your mind what to think and if you do why ?
Would you rather not be a freethinker and instead think for yourself ?
Where do you get your information from? Yer mind processes incoming information and makes dem opinions and decisions.
So who controls the information you get? Spin and bias is everywhere and everyone is serving up their own Kool Aid.
You get to pick your flavour. So who tells your mind what to think?

I have no control over the information that I am exposed to but I do over whether I accept it or not
They are not interested in what I think anyway as I am no one important and so they leave me alone
But even if I was important and they were controlling my mind it would only be for while I was alive
Once I was dead they would not be able get to me and so I would be left in peace from that point on
A MIND IS LIKE A PARACHUTE : IT DOES NOT WORK UNLESS IT IS OPEN

Exactly, and it is precisely what information you are fed, and what information is withheld that forms your opinions.
I am, somehow, less interested in the weight and convolutions of Einstein’s brain than in the near certainty that people of equal talent have lived and died in cotton fields and sweatshops. - Stephen J. Gould

Well, it is one of the factors, and its effects are variable. For people who don't like to think very much, but just accept the world as it is, and live the party life, perhaps it is the major factor.

For others, a certain amount of thinking can provide a partial immunisation, at least...

While accepting that there are unpleasant, selfish bastards out there, and that the police and courts have a role in protecting us from them, I think you exaggerate this aspect far too much, and minimise the bad effects of both excessive governmental control and the pervasive influence of selfish global corporations...

A certain amount of thinking in the absence of information can produce speculation and philosophy based on personal bias based on the kool aid you've previously drunk. Allegory of Plato's cave etc.

I forgot to answer the question of who REALLY runs Britain. It's whomever has the greatest influence over the information flowing to the greatest number of Brits.
