Nah, go bust.
That'll risk a new famine. It's better to pay up than have the IMF bailifs stopping food imports?
We don't need to import food anymore.

We grow potatoes and sugar puffs.
If you think you can go it alone don't come crying to anyone else, especially us, when it goes all pear shaped. :pop:

When I saw the thread title I had visions of an Irish Terminator:

"Ah, will ye stop feckin' runnin' til a shoot ye? Jaysus!"

To be honest everyone else is in it up their necks just that some are in it deeper than others. Where Ireland is in this debt quagmire we'll be in three or four years and we'll be sure to notice the cap showing where you finally sank by then? :smoke:

It will be okay. klr and Ani will vote the great statesman Gerry Adams in and he'll solve everything.

Hmmm ... there is one Jewish TD (Member of Parliament), and he's likely to be in the next government. :eddy:

Counting O'clock has begun, and will never end. I will switch my attention to the rugby this afternoon for a while though. :tea:

Did some sort of fine old gail win?

Or was it a fine young quail?

None of those in my constituency ... :levi:

I'd tell you the outcome here, but the count isn't going to finish until just before hell freezes over. Thankfully it does not affect the national picture. :coffee:

Bloody hell ... still no sign of it finishing. Think Florida 2000, Irish-style. Once the lawyers get involved ...

I might mosey on down to the count centre - just a mile away - and knock some sense into them. :toetap:

Only 3 counts still going, and they'll be done by tomorrow night. Foregone conclusion anyway.

The world is a thing of utter inordinate complexity and richness and strangeness that is absolutely awesome. I mean the idea that such complexity can arise not only out of such simplicity, but probably absolutely out of nothing, is the most fabulous extraordinary idea. And once you get some kind of inkling of how that might have happened, it's just wonderful. And . . . the opportunity to spend 70 or 80 years of your life in such a universe is time well spent as far as I am concerned.

I was just down at Leisureland in Salthill for the Galway West re-re-recount, and while they appear to be finally getting through it at a cracking pace, the shit could hit the fan again when it comes to the final count and the last seat. Bring me my lawyers ...

But as you say, it doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things. :tea:

Yep, FG-Labour coalition and Labour won't get the finance portfolio they were after. They might get health though, which could be interesting.

FG mightn't mind: "Warning: Being minister for health could seriously damage your political career". :demon:
