But worse, there are important and significant things happening in the world every day, yet news editors anestetise us with this soap opera crap (it's as bad as them filling our news with stories about nobodies from reality tv). I know their argument would be that they show news that people want to watch, and this is no doubt partly true. But they also control the minds of the masses and persuade them they actually want this pointless shite.

It's certainly cheaper than having numerous correspondents in every country in the world, ready to cover any story of great importance. :|

Though I suppose it's a little better news than crap like Lindsay Lohan. :dono:

Apparently they have agreed to keep quiet about what happened down there and especially the first days when they all thought they would die down there... I suspect there was a bit more than just wanking going on :shifty:
Yeah, the first thing I'd think about if I was going to die in the dark would be bumming a dusty, sweaty guy!

I think not.

And I'm bi.

Er, seriously?
Seriously they have agreed about not talking about what went on down there.
The bumming was just supposed to be a joke.
I guess you don´t think I´m funny :shifty:

It's a remarkable story, the problem is that the video is showing all those points in time where nothing happens in between the points in time where something does happen.
"The fact is that far more crime and child abuse has been committed by zealots in the name of God, Jesus and Mohammed than has ever been committed in the name of Satan. Many people don't like that statement but few can argue with it."

Fret not! , and :funny: .

I just wondered if you'd come across any rumours from the rumour mill about what went on. You know what the media is like, and it would hardly surprise me.
I mean, why would they not talk about what went on? The more they say, the more money they'll get. Holding out a while will reap more I suppose.

Yeah. I'd have to agree. News about film stars and rich socialites is on a par with reality tv news for me. At least the miners are news. I only watched one small bit of the news yesterday and it was interesting to see they were preparing to get them out. But when any news story becomes continuing rolling news it's a bad thing. The worst here was Diana's death. There was nothing else on tv for 5 days. It was a definite case of mass hysteria fueled by the media, who were scared to be branded the first to return to normal programming.

9-11 was wall-to-wall for a bit, but at least that warranted extra coverage.

In the UK we don't hear about any news from mainland Europe unless it's to do with a presidential sex scandal.

No, hadn´t heard anything. I just thought it might have been something personal they shared and didn´t want the whole world to know :dono:

I think they should have Gok Wan there for when they come out, to advise them how they could look better naked. That would make really extra shite tv

But they're all out now, which is pretty good.

So, how many were greeted by their wife, mistress and a punch in the face?
Men! They're all beasts!
Yeah. But isn't it wonderful?

And they stopped looking for gold or whatever they were doing there in the first place. What a waste of overtime.

I saw two of them come up. Mercifully they weren't greeted by god botherers.
What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."
