How are small business owners supported, say, when they can't go service customers homes because they are exhibiting symptoms?

In Canada, the independent plumbers/carpenters/commercial fishers don't feel very supported. I think mostly they do what they have to do.

In Germany, the government pays the missed income of self-employed people who cannot work because of being quarantined.

I'm a bit cynical, but probably wrong in that direction, about Canada.

The independant workers I know (esp. trappers/fishermen) have a tough time interacting with programs in Canada. We have a serious fur history, but the bureacracy generally has Ottawa, Toronto and Montreal in mind.

My guess is that it isn't nearly as bad as the most rabid doomsayers are saying, and a bit worse than the dismissive.

It's always weird trying to interface with gov't programs from this region. Tough for a city person to imagine a life so different.
