Re: The Thread of Democrats
The Cato institute is a think tank that equates government and rules, as well as tax, with socialism. Nothing to discuss.

Re: The Thread of Democrats
That's your misunderstanding. But then you run around declaring socialism awesome cuz, like, roads and police departments.
“When I was in college, I took a terrorism class. ... The thing that was interesting in the class was every time the professor said ‘Al Qaeda’ his shoulders went up, But you know, it is that you don’t say ‘America’ with an intensity, you don’t say ‘England’ with the intensity. You don’t say ‘the army’ with the intensity,” she continued. “... But you say these names [Al Qaeda] because you want that word to carry weight. You want it to be something.” - Ilhan Omar
Re: The Thread of Democrats
If he really thought socialism was the best, he would move to a socialist utopia (there must be many, since it has been tried so often) but instead, he lives in the US, reposts memes like a teenager, and seems to be a huge supporter of capitalism.
At least until they fuck up the spell-check warnings on his iphone...

Re: The Thread of Democrats
I like all that, too.
There are lovely places to go live in Socialism.
Or, one could emigrate the the more capitalist USA, and buy an iPhone to complain about...

Re: The Thread of Democrats
Roads are not properly maintained, hospitals cost literally an arm and a leg, many schools are laughing stocks for so long that Robert Heinlein was already railing about them, and the judicial system is not funcitional with elected judges that are not qualified for the function and prosecutors that care about winning cases more than about seeing justice served... I have no desire to live in the USA... even if they gave me a smartphone where I could complain to my heart's content.

Re: The Thread of Democrats
I'm just getting ready for the 2020 election. Only meme slinging will work then. No facts needed.

Sure, and they aren't socialism.

Re: The Thread of Democrats
given how you handle those in the US, one might be forgiven for thinking them to be so.

Re: The Thread of Democrats
Why would one be forgiven for not knowing what socialism is?
You don't even know how those are handled in the US. You have bought into the imagination of people with political agendas.

Socialism...that's when the government is so shit, people form long lines in the street for bread, fuel protests and a yellow-vest fashion show...at least it looks that way...

Strange propaganda troll central gives out these days.
"Wat is het een gezellig boel hier".
Re: The Thread of Democrats
Since you troll mainly by accusing others of trolling, and of being trolls, does that make you a troll? Or just one who trolls?
