No, he was capricord. But his poor little baby daughter did.

Like I said, police weapons training comes straight from the army manuals. It shouldn't.
At least in the US, police have their own training manuals.

Doubtful.

Immune? Then he'd make sure the perp is dead, because (a) he's immune from comebacks, and (b) that is the one way to guarantee that the perp doesn't kill anyone else, resulting in the guy in charge being criticized for not taking sufficient action to stop the perp.

Methink the hours of the standoff probably had a detrimental effect on the judgment of the cops . I imagine it must have been boring, annoying, and tedious yet also still stressful.

Also, I hope I never snap like that. I'd hate to spend my last hours of existence as a full-on fucking attention whore.
What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."

In St. Louis they have "Siege Protocol" that calls for evaluating the situation regularly and reducing the number of officers needed to actually be watching the scene and putting the rest in a safe area where they can be available but are able to relax.

I just reported that as a personal attack on a forum member. (Pawiz)
